Rented an Xbloom- Feeling meh

So my wife and I (two large cups total daily), decided to rent the Xbloom for a month or two after exclusively hand grinding and using a v60 for years. The pods make very good coffee albeit smaller than I would like, and at a significant cost. I’m wondering if the workflow of the Aiden Fellow combo would be just as easy (although slightly different, I know) and make as good of coffee or better if I can get some quality beans from a local roaster. With the Xbloom, I got 6 pouches of pods in different varieties. If my wife has a pod it’s: fill water, get pod, dump it in, switch to auto mode, tap card, make coffee. Then I’ve been using bulk coffee and weighing, dumping in, switching to manual mode, and making my cup.

I’m wondering if weighing and grinding a bulk batch (realistically closer to 4 cups if your using the pod quantity of coffee on the Xbloom) and brewing in the Aiden would be better, more cost efficient and just as simple.

For reference the Xbloom pods I got were anywhere from $1.50-$2.50 a cup.

Thoughts? Anyone ditch an Xbloom for an Aiden or vice-versa? Am I missing any other quality options. Aiden would let us ditch our traditional brewer for when we have company over as well.

DS1 E85 tune and OB2 emissions.

I have a new to me 2018 RS3 with a custom DS1 flex fuel tune, p3 gauge and CATTED downpipe. My state has OB2 emissions. With the DS1 and P3 hooked up VCDS won’t even read OB2. If I disconnect them it reads OB2 fine but now all my monitors reset. If I flash my emission tune and either run the Unitronic readiness monitor procedure or drive the car, all of my monitors should set and I should be good for emissions testing. Is this sound logic? I’m new to the platform. Thanks for the help!

30+ cars. Never loved any of them. What now?

Sort of a different post but looking for some help from everyone. I have owned probably 30-40 cars at this point. I am a general car "enthusiast", no brand loyalty. I do some of my own wrenching (oil changes, diff services, transfer cases, brakes etc.) but I can't rebuild an engine or a trans.

I am looking for something new. Something that I actually will keep, enjoy, and checks all of the boxes. I will share some of the highlights over the years and maybe you guys can help me figure out what direction I should head. This car is a weekend "toy" but might also have to have my two young kids in it from time to time. I only drive it 2-4k miles a year. No commuting. It stays garaged.

Prior cars:

2005 GTO (manual)- My second car when I was 20. Left it stock. Loved it but now I have two kids and coupes don't make a ton of sense. My youngest is another couple years before she is in a booster which would make it way easier.

WK1 Jeep SRT8- Procharged, fully built. Was a fun car. Would consider it again.

Twin Turbo GTO (manual)- Great car, had some oil leaking issues and at the time I didn't have a garage. Sold it instead of fixing it. I never should have gotten rid of it. Again the rear seats now an issue.

Multiple TBSS's- Love these. Don't see them too often. Obviously dated nowadays but I don't need real creature comforts because I rarely drive it.

2014 WRX (manual)- Enjoyed this car however based on some of my more recent vehicles I would consider it quite slow even with exhaust, intake and a tune.

2004 E55 AMG- Great car, modified to close to 500 wheel. Transmission had an issue and I sold it instead of repairing it.

2008 G8 GT- 408 stroker, too loud, boring interior.

2014 CLS63AMG- Beast of a road car. It was stock. Mileage starting getting into a territory where I felt more comfortable selling it than driving it.

2014 CTS-V Sedan- 800 wheel horsepower. More of a race car than I wanted but it was a fun toy. Sold it and it burnt to the ground after an issue with the methanol injection after the track.

2019 S5- Four door. Stage 2 everything. Liked this car a lot but felt like I "needed" and SUV. I don't as we have a large SUV as a family car.

2023 Ford Mustang- Supercharged, 750 wheel. I could barely fit a car seat in the back so I sold it within a couple weeks.

2021 X3M40i (current)- I've owned this longer than most. I was on the fence with an ECU unlock and DP and tune but I feel like I want something a little more unique, a little faster.

Things I am considering for around $35,000:

D4 Audi S8- found a lower milage one (77k) and would do a DP and a tune and have a cruiser with 700+ horsepower.

Found another procharged Jeep SRT8 but it is mint and a little more than I am looking to spend.

Chevy SS's- Manual sedan would be the best but would really stretch the budget to get a stick shift.

Fully built PPV Caprice.

Another CTS-V in a sedan or coupe.

A single turbo 335i in a stick shift, probably way under budget if I can find one not clapped out.

Another E55 AMG, E63 AMG or CLS63.

Audi S6,S7 or another E55 AMG.

I've even floated the idea of stretching the budget and looking for a whipple'd F150 Crew Cab variant.

Am I missing anything? Maybe I just like what I don't have and cant stop switching? Did any of you guys ever find "the one" that you kept forever?

First rod to pair with HICC50- Handing 5'6" UL or Zephyr 5'9" FL?

Looking to get my first BFS setup for the neighborhood pond. Read a bunch here and settled on the above choices to get in under $150 and give it a try. Zephyr can be here in 2 days, Handing I would have to wait a week and miss fishing it this weekend. Any suggestions on one or the other? KK comes with an extra tip and obviously 3" longer. This will be for bank fishing the local ponds. I also have a Bass Pro Shop nearby but their BFS rods look limited.

Quake with connection issues

I got a Quake 223S when they came out. Brand new batteries. About 10 packs through the truck I would lose connection when I went further than about 20’ feet away. The truck would always just stop, never accelerated away. Turning had no impact on anything.

I was under warranty and after 4 months of backorder I got a brand new 2 in 1 ESC. Hooked it up, put brand new batteries in my transmitter and a freshly charged battery and the same exact thing happened.

I shared it on FB and all the suggestions were “just get a different ESC and receiver” but I’d really like to fix the truck without spending more money on it as it is mostly just a toy for my son.

Any ideas on what is actually wrong with the truck? Anything else I should try? I did the binding all over, everything connected fine and it’s doing the same exact thing.
