He‘s a big metalhead and year after year I gift him a different LP of a band I currently listen to a lot. I mostly can‘t decide between Die Urkatastrophe and Soldatenschicksale but Live in Oberhausen gives me best of vibes. He doesn’t know the band at all yet. Hopefully you guys can help!
I just got a G502 X Lightspeed because my old G502 Lightspeed had trouble with holding the left mouse button and it got so bad over the last weeks that I was getting really annoyed by it. So I thought I'd treat myself and get a new one. Just unpacked and connected it and I'm really underwhelmed by the feel of it. It's a lot flatter especially on the right side which feels really uncomfortable in my hand, it generally feels cheaper and lighter, the clicking sounds and feels awful compared to the old one and don't get me started on the wheel which is a lot less precise than the old one. Before my old Lightspeed I had a Proteus Core and switching from that to the Lightspeed felt like just going wireless (like improving perfection).
I'm really thinking about returning it or do you guys feel like I should give it a chance because I'll get used to it?
Used to have Alpine Party Plug Pros and was very satisfied with them but recently lost them. So I‘m thinking about getting them again or spending 10 bucks more for the Alpine Tunes. If you can recommend one or the other or another brand altogether that‘d be great. Thank you!
So I‘m doing my first honour mode playthrough right now. The squad and I rolled up to Cazadors dungeon. All already Level 12, buffed to the teeth.
My Tav, a Hexblade/Oath of Vengeance Paladin.
Shadowheart, a Storm Sorcerer/Tempest Cleric.
Astarion, a Gloomstalker Assassin.
Karlach, a Tavern Brawler Open Hand Monk.
While going down the stairs to Cazador I switched to turn based mode to apply Crawler Mucus (can paralyze an enemy) because I didn‘t want the condition to end early. Flew down the stairs to Cazador with my tav, thinking the cutscene would trigger as usual with Astarion in the party. Except it didn‘t. Because my companions were still on the stairs the game/Cazador thought I came without Astarion. Started combat, high rolled on the Initiative roll and had the pleasure of going first. Iniated combat with the rest of the party as well with the added bonus of being able to strategically position them.
Cazador had already lost a good chunk of his health when my tav blasted him with a sunbeam to his face and followed up with a nasty crit after Action Surge. He was blinded (Sunbeam), received a debuff because of the sunlight, was paralysed due to the Crawler Mucus and was Prone because of a punch to the face from Karlach. He went down in the first round. The rest of the enemies all died 1 or 2 rounds max afterwards.
All the time I sat there smiling because we just had clapped Cazadors cheeks so baaaad. So I trigger the cutscene after opening the sarcophagus, it plays out normally and the dreaded moment arrives: Astarion wants to go through with the ritual. I romanced him and picked EVERY option beforehand to talk him out of it. Talked with his victims and the Gur children in the cells, told them all I‘d free them after the fight. I again pick every single option to talk him out of it until the only two options left are „okay fuck it, let‘s do this“ and downright refusing to help him.
I picked the latter, he says „fine“, stabs Cazador and I feel sad (because of the fantastic cutscene) but relieved as well. Then the other 6 spawn approach him and he goes like „do whatever y‘all want, if I don‘t get to be free neither will the rest of you“. This MF them broke the staff and if that wasn‘t bad enough he perma-quit the party right after the Cutscene ended.
I said there flabbergasted for a minute and did the only thing a responsible adult would do on honour mode after a thing like this happened:
Open Task Manager and quit that game immediately.
Then redid the fight with Astarion in shackles for the ritual (freed him in the first round) and killed one of the other spawn before combat ended just to be safe. The cutscene played out normally, Astarion killed Cazador, freed the other spawn and all the ones in the cells. Guess now there‘s only 7005 instead of 7006 spawn loose on the Underdark.
TL;DR: Absolutely wooped Cazadors ass in honour mode, Astarion broke the staff after I wouldn’t help him with the ritual and perma-quit the party afterwards.
