I'm a huge Bowie fan and tonight when I was really focusing on the lyrics it suddenly dawned on me how the song could easily tie in to The State of the Art.

"There's a starman waiting in the sky / He'd like to come and meet us / But he thinks he'd blow our minds"

They want to help us but they're concerned we're not ready for it.

"There's a starman waiting in the sky / He's told us not to blow it / 'Cause he knows it's all worthwhile"

They're rooting for us. They hope we don't destroy ourselves before we are ready to meet them and receive help and be a post scarcity society.

"He told me / Let the children lose it / Let the children use it / Let all the children boogie"

They want us to trust the youth who are full of optimism for a better world because we are too violent.

Came home early from a camping trip to find my wife having an affair

I solo camp from time to time and never come home early except for this time. I was camping about an hour away this past Sunday Monday and Tuesday. Well I came home Monday evening unannounced due to some circumstances and heard a male among some other things talking to her in our bedroom.

The weather was bad, my buddy had to cancel last minute (*he was coming out for one of the nights, why I called it solo camping, because it is for the most part, he just was going to come out and hangout for the night, i do all the setup) and to make things worse I lost my phone in the water near where I was camping. I just decided to drive home to at least get my backup phone (I have some minor work things I would have needed to take care of *monday morning.)

It's been over 24 hours now, I grabbed some of my stuff and bolted out of there before she knew I was even there. I'm staying at a nearby hotel and really don't know what to do, I don't have family I can talk to and my friends aren't the type to really confide in, I told one but he wasn't the most helpful with listening to me

I need some support.

*Made some edits to clarify, I wrote the wrong days because I work for a hospital and do four 10s through Sunday sun-tues is my fri sat and sun and I was tired when I wrote this post last night.
