Chicken / Onion Pithivier

Need to tweak a few things (the recipe was _heavy_ on the black pepper, even after I wound it back), should have baked slower and longer and then cranked up at the end to colour it.

Drawer base support

Anyone who has flatpack furniture with drawers knows the problem, particularly if they're for kids. The base is floating in a slot, it's stuffed beyond capacity pushing out the back a few milimeters and then it drops out at the back.

Quick fix before I put this piece up on gumtree or something to support the base.

Support, almost good news

~10h outage yesterday (3pm - 1am) which is always a bad thing, however it looks like for major scale incidents they've got their act together with emails sent from support first confirming there's a major outage impacting the user (I'm assuming they can map CRM location info with impact location information), then a couple of updates before the confirmation that everything was back about an hour after my network came back online.

Credit where it's due, that is the way to handle major incidents

A1 Bed temperature

Yes the bed was clean and the filament dry...
Now we've got that out of the way :)

An oddity which I've identified while debugging an adhesion problem printing the pastamatic. One piece has been lifting at one end, managed to get a print done, but the base is curved a bit.

On a hunch I checked the temperature of the bed using the IR thermometer I have for chocolate work, it's consistently 5C or so below the target temp across the bed with mroe of a variation nearer the edge (which is where the lifting was happening)

Before I raise a ticket to get support's view anyone seen something similar?

0.2mm nozzle problems

A1, Sunlu white PLA tried using both the Bambu PLA Basic and Generic PLA settings.

With the 0.4mm nozzle everything is fine, however when I put in the 0.2mm nozzle (HIKUDIY link below) it extrudes some and then the mechanism starts clicking before giving up.

The hotend screws (front and rear) are tight, did them today because I was noticing some issues with the 0.4mm.

Yes the nozzle setting is changed at the printer, I've also tried rebooting after changing to ensure everything has come up clean.

Any ideas / pointers?

[2] Let's deal with the obvious questions :)
Yes I washed the bed (fairy liquid, I have a dedicated sponge which is only used for that and it's cleaned and heated before use. The filament is dry and the moon and stars are properly aligned.

Fan holder (quick n dirty)

Quick fix print yesterday for herself, hot weather and hot flashes are no fun, having to hold the fan is just annoyance on top

Replacement display lighting

The light in my parents display cabinet has been dead for years, hunting for a suitable replacement failed dismally as the original manufacturer decided to use a completely nonstandard sizing

Behold the replacement using under cabinet LED lighting, the tube slides nicely into where the old light dropped through the roof of the unit, the nut is overkill, the best kind of kill :)

~10 minutes throwing together the model, couple of hours print (onshape, A1)

I have nest mad lovebirds, anything is a potential nest site, including my work laptop (KVM switch so I when I'm working from my 'home' desk I can flip between work and home.

She of course wants to nest in the laptop, and all nests must be tested with her beak, including the bezel around the screen. It can't go the wall because of the headset dongle.

Problem solved, until she finds a way around it, because.. parrots are too smart.
