Tired of plastic spilling out of distillation tower?

Two boxes basically block the output. This is stable enough that it works on my boat, and I don't have to deal with the plastic spilling everywhere.

Occasionally, I'll take a box away for a minute to let all of the plastic out. Last time it was over 1,000 units, which I promptly fed into my Recovery Grinder to get oil.

I suppose I could just place the Recovery Grinder under the output, so that happens automatically, but that's just noisy...

Help with disappearing soil

I'm at >!Pishon!<, with the first and second levels fully built, all water and electricity connected (and sufficient for the >!trees I've added!<).

For some reason, every time I leave and re-enter the area (or save and reload), there are always a few >!tree pans!< which had soil when I left, but which are empty when I return. It varies each time.

I typically add 20-30 bio organic to each one, so I'm not sure what's happening. Has anyone else experienced this?

Is replanting an existing tree possible?

I have a few trees on my boat, but would like to remove them from their beds and replant them on >!Eden Cradle!<. Is that possible?

East Scarp + SVE: Where is Mr. Ginger?

My wife and son and I are playing local co-op, Steam/PC. Recently added SVE and East Scarp (and all required mods for those) and started a new run, currently in Winter yr 1.

Anyway, I found the pool to the east of East Scarp with the cave behind the waterfall and have been intrigued by the references to Tristan and the ginger cat. I gather from what I've seen on the wiki that we need to befriend Mr. Ginger, who is supposed to be around Jas sometimes around town.

The problem is, we've never seen Mr. Ginger. Does he show up later, or is there something we need to do to get him to show up?

Is there (currently) a reward to finishing all of them?

As far as I know, I've finished all the quests (including >!Habitat Care and True Choices!<); the only major thing I haven't done is >!complete all the committees!<.

Finishing that seems like a grind, and I'm not sure I even have enough resource (>!memories!<) to do so, because of some poor early-game choices I made. Is there any kind of reward for completing all of them?

My wife and I have been doing a Joja route run, just to see the content.

We've just seen this final scene after buying Aurora Vineyard.

Oof, I think we're done. 😢

Long story short, my mother in law has been trying to give my spouse and I a sum of money (not huge, but over $10K) for months. The problem is the way she's been trying to do it.

At first, she insisted that it was "a loan, so you can avoid taxes" (her words, not ours). We rejected that outright, because we don't need a loan, and treating it as such would be fraud.

We suggested that if she was so concerned about taxes, she could use a legitimate tool (e.g. a trust) for us for when she's gone. But she apparently decided against that.

Anyway, she showed up today with a cashier's check, saying "this is inheritance, my tax guy said you can just keep it". I flat-out told her no, that we would have to report it as income, and she responded, "just do whatever you want with it".

We're considering depositing the check (and reporting it as income for 2026!), but her actions have me worried that she's done something on her side that could impact us if we do.

Any recommendations in a case like this?
