How do I make the content I want without giving away too much detail?

Hello! I (26F) have a youtube channel that I started back when I had first moved to California. I was posting relatively consistently during COVID but once school started up in person again, I stopped posting because it became too hard to keep up with.

The last 2 videos I ever posted were 2 years ago doing basically commentary on Watcher and the Try Guys when they first started their respective streaming platforms.

Since then I have gone through a lot of major life changes. Around the time that I had uploaded those videos 2 years ago, I was going through a lot of things emotionally and since then my life has changed significantly.

I want to start posting videos documenting my life as I try to navigate owning a home I never thought I'd be responsible for. My mother passed away in 2024, and with that left behind a house that never fully felt like home. Additionally, my aunt that is currently living with me is moving back to her home country soon, subsequently leaving me and my 2 dogs alone.

My friends and dad are worried about me even making any sort of mention online that I live alone (i know i'm posting this on reddit but still, most people in their mid 20s live alone). It's not like I have any intentions on showing the front of my house, but even if I show the backyard it might be kind of obvious where I live. I feel like it is important to emphasize that I am alone in this house. A house I never really asked for. A house that I never knew was going to be my responsibility so soon. I am doing this entire remodeling thing by myself....I am learning everything from scratch, and I feel inspired to document it because there might be people out there who feel just as lost as I do.

I have an extremely bad habit of over sharing when I don't mean to and on top of that I feel insecure about being a 26 year old who owns a home when in this state of the world, most people my age can barely afford rent. I don't want to seem like I'm bragging to people online, because I'm not. I just really want to document the renovation process of turning this house from a time capsule of the time my mother passed away, to a place that feels like mine.

Please let me know what you guys think and what the best course of action is. I'm scared to start this new chapter in my life, but I want to take control of my life again after everything changed 3 years ago.

I don't really know how to feel about dating in general?

I'm not too sure if this is the right subreddit to post, but I feel like most people might relate. I (26F) am as single as can be. I just recently moved to a new city where two of my best friends already live with their s/o's. I get along with their s/o's just fine, but sometimes I do get a little sad being the 5th wheel of some of these large hang outs.

A few years ago I went through a messy situationship with a man who HATED me (idk how i couldn't see that) and since then I've been kinda just doing my own thing. I keep going back and forth between wanting to get out there again but also wanting to stay in my little bubble.

I know that the loneliness epidemic is kinda big for my generation and above, and I guess I'm just scared that if I'm not actively going out and seeking dates am I going to be left behind?

I guess all in all, I just want to know what makes y'all have the confidence to actually GO on dates. I feel like no matter how hard I try to hype myself up, I end up deleting every dating app within a 48 hour span.

Also I hate that my last situationship traumatized me so much that I don't trust adding anyone new into my life immediately. Is jumping straight into the deep end the best way to go? or do I just wait until I feel like the time is right

I wish I was able to get her to understand

Yesterday, my aunt (78f) and I (26f) got into a huge argument over how I handle tasks.

Since I'm currently dealing with medication complications (I made a previous post about how my psych hasn't filled my increased script and now I'm 3 days off of my Concerta after already starting the increasing process) I'm trying to find old coping mechanisms I used to do to keep my sanity at bay while I wait for my upcoming new psych appointment (this saturday! god bless!)

She and I have been living together for only 3 months now and she will be moving out of the house come late August back to her home country.

I love her I do, but we fight constantly due to misunderstandings. I'm always willing to give her the benefit of the doubt because she's old, but she never gives me the same care or respect and I'm just tired.

Yesterday, she told me that within the 3 months of living together she has noticed that I will bring my phone or laptop with me with my head phones on to do a task. I do this because I like to listen to podcasts or movies in the background because it helps me focus on tasks because it's sound but it doesn't require my immediate focus. I can't handle the white noise of just the house or the surround sounds of the outside so this is what helps me stay calm and on top of things.

She told me that "from now on I want you to stop doing that". I told her that it wasn't possible; she pressed me asking why and I genuinely just had no way to explain that it helps. She keeps saying it's preventing me from remembering things but it's like...I already struggled with that already and I'm trying so hard to fix that.

She keeps comparing me to my late mother, saying my mom was a lot smarter than me because x, y and z and I'm just so tired.

I really am trying so hard. I can't wait til she moves out.
