I have my old drivers license in Arizona, can I use it to purchase a firearm I see at the local gun store? I just moved back home.

I used to live in Arizona, got an Arizona drivers license. But then moved to Texas for work so I when to apply for Texas drivers license. Got the tx license and worked there ever since. They actually didn’t take my AZ license.

Now after layoff etc etc, I moved back to Arizona at my old home. Same address on my AZ license. And my AZ license isnt expired.

I saw a deal at local gun shop for a pistol and was wondering if I can buy that pistol in AZ? With my old AZ license that Texas never took away when I got my tx license?

The AZ license isnt expired. Can I use it to fill out the 4473 when I purchase that firearm? Or will it not go through? It’s not expired and I moved back to the same address.

This is kind of just a thought that came across my head when I was window shopping at the local gun store. Saw a good deal at the store.

I have purchase firearms before and filled out 4473 before, no problem and no felony. I’m just wondering how that AZ license will do. Thanks for any input/knowledge/suggestions!

Advice on how you will handle this situation.

Thanks for reading this.

Hi, started working in Michigan as a contractor and ended up ripping the bucket off the bucket truck thinking the truck will clear the trees.

Was let go and didn’t think anything of it until later on when I read the termination slip. They checked the box (disregard of safety instruction) under the Discharge category.

Asked them if they will let me voluntary quit but they said they already sent the slip out.

My question is with this record on me, will that contractor ever hire me back ? They are pretty big and out at different state as well.

  1. Is it possible to clear my record? I feel like that should not be a violation of safety.

Should I talk to the hall about this? Or just sign the books and continue working and think nothing of it?

I don’t really want my career to be ruined with a safety violation tagged to me. I don’t want that record to be with me for the rest of my career.

Please let me know how you would handle this situation. And what are the pros/cons .What actions will you take. Appreciate all the replies and thank you for reading this.

(The bucket didnt get completely torn off, but it got cracked, I know it’s my fault and it costs a lot of money)

Changing careers from Trade to Law Enforcement.

Hi!

Any of you gentlemen/ladies already have a career before going into Law enforcement? More specifically in a trade and decided to leave and get into law enforcement? Was it worth it? What made you want to leave your career?

Throughout my time at work, I have met 3 prior LEO who quit and join the electrical apprenticeship. I was wondering if there are people who left the electrician/lineman career field and went into LE. Do you guys know any coworkers who are prior blue collar workers that made the change? And how did they like it? What made them jump ship?

Thanks for reading my post and thanks for answering!

Looking for School

Hi,

Looking for a good school/aircraft rate to start my PPL. I was wondering if any of you have flown at or trained at any of these airports and if any schools stood out because they are great, or if any schools around me I should avoid (other than ATP).

The following airports are relatively close to where I’m at, and I’m open to go out further if the school is worth it.

Airports in the vicinity of my natural habitat:

Chino airport (CNO) Corona Municipal Airport ( AJO) Cable airport (CCB) Riverside Municipal Airport ( RAL) Flabob Airport (RIR) Redland Municipal Airport (REI)

Thank you for your time. Cheers!

Housing

Hello, for those of you traveling to a different local to look for work or signing multiple books, and do not have a camper/trailer. What do you do for housing? Wait for the call and get an extended stay/motel then look for housing or what other options are out there?

Thanks for the replies, stay safe out there lads.

Hi,

Looking at how our retirement is being invested, ( under 30s, 40s etc etc) those are our only options right? We can’t invest it any other way? Can’t pick different mutual funds etc etc?

I’m not an expert but looking into the age target funds, even the most aggressive one (under 30s and 30s) are pretty conservative to me personally. I don’t like how much bond it is holding. Like with my personal investment it’s 100% stock and it really shows on my personal returns vs NEAP.

Thank you for reading and answering, stay safe out there lads.
