Me comí alta estafa no?

Everything, including our lives, is a wavelength

There is a principle that is very important regarding reality. Everything starts and ends. Everything. And between those two, every quark that composes matter (and therefore us) oscillates. And since It is part of physics that perpetual motion is impossible. Same happens with perpetual energy because everything is energy. The energy of the electrons that allow and antenna to alter the electromagnetic fields and emit a wavelength's isn't eternal. It ends. like a life end. like a civilization ends. Everytime a civilization falls, another one arises. and no matter how low we think we fall, if you put the first civilization's bell curve over the second civilization's bell curve, the values would be displaced by just the next number the first bell's is occupying. Like this oscillation between two waves in the wavelength of humanity, there's another one just like that oscillation our quarks exist by. The oscillation product of the paradox that nothing can not be. and nothing cannot be all.

I may start practicing vegetarianism

I've always wondered why i wasn't a vegetarian. I consider myself a very smart person, yet with vegetarianism, I've always felt i was hiding the understanding of what i'm eating with a complex passive system of ignoring that. I guess social conventions are like that. If shit tasted good and we ignored the fact it comes of our ass, it wouldn't feel awkward to take a chance at it.

But today i was smoking some weed and decided to cook myself a steak. Somehow grass has always made me more aware of stuff, so when i started cutting the meat and eating it, i somehow realized what i was doing. Like... the system shut down and it was me, myself and understanding this meat could be my meat. A once living being's meat... and suddenly i feel disgusted. I tried eggs and icecream because i got a bit scared but thankfully i still feel comfortable with those.

But the meat... i felt really disgusted. Not a few days ago some friends and i were discussing real cannibalism cases. And eating this meat brought that topic to my head like a bulldozer. I felt a cannibal. I am still high so i don't know how much this will persists... but i'm still in shock. And i wonder if vegetarianism has finally found me. I'm kinda scared because i'm a bit afraid of the difficulties i may encounter and i feel it's not voluntary. I feel like a blindfold i cannot put back on has fallen from my eyes.

Requesting an ice evocation wizard's lair

Hi! i need an ice evocation wizard's lair. If it's subterranean, better!
The lore behind the wizard is that he's trying to achieve immortality by gaining so much power in cold magic in order to be able to freeze himself without losing mobility.

Optional but much appreciated:
- VTT friendly
- Interesting rooms
- Trap rooms

He's a nutjob, basically.

Thanks beforehand!

What phrases do you hate your players saying?

There are some phrases (like "I HAVE DARKVISION") that tend to trigger DMs. Do you have any special one? For example, i hate it when a player is slowed or restrained far away from combat and they huff and say "i can't do ANYTHING".

I understand the frustration but there's something in that phrase that makes me dread incapacitation and makes me feel a bad DM.

Worst part is when it's not even a gotcha scenario (like a trap or such) and the player just failed the save for incapacitation during combat or the melee character is too far away to do anything because they didn't buy a damn crossbow.

EDIT: I noticed i missed some important details. I understand incapacitated is frustrating, that's why i don't overuse it. My issue is when you look at your players like "Hey, you can try something out of the sheet. Like... use your heroic inspiration to overcome the incapacitation or something, idk. gimme something homebrew" and they go full videogames mechanics and answer "The sheets says i can't do anything so i don't do anything".

Good thing my current players aren't afraid to steal my money with improv, but when it doesn't happen, that shit can be pretty annoying both as player and DM

Tom Chaplin from Keane is a reincarnated person with memories of his past lives.

So for this to make sense i first have to explain quickly my cosmology:

We are one conscience being switched from body to body through infinite realities to experience them and move forward in our understanding of the universe. Kind of like the myth of resurrection but when you are talking to another person, you both are the same conscience that got into a different body to experience the reality through another point of view in another universal cycle and forgot the previous body's memories. It's kind of like the way of the universe understands itself through one of the forces of the universe: Experience of information (or how some people call it "knowledge").

Now, i was playing my guitar to "Everybody's changing" by Keane and while i was reading the lyrics i realized the following:

You say, you wander your own land
But when I think about it, I don't see how you can

This is Tom Chaplin saying we don't wander our own land because eveything is us, basically. We are the universe. We can't walk on our own land. We ARE the land.

You're aching, you're breaking
And I can see the pain in your eyes
Says Everybody's Changing, and I don't know why

As expected, being conscious of previous lives must be very sad. Imagine you die, lose your memory and start regaining glimpses of your previous life. Everybody around changes and then disappears as time pass over and over again.

So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel the same

This means Tom Chaplin understands we live for the sake of living. Our core directive is to extend our stay on this reality as much as we can to understand through experience as much as we can. it's the basis of survival instinct. living because of the fear of death.

You're gone from here
Soon you will disappear, fading into beautiful light
'Cause Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel right

Again, Tom describes he remembers how diying is with the pretty part and the visceral understanding that we are, again surrounded by strangers.
Now, this verse is interesting because if my theory is true then there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. See, my Cosmology considers that for our uni-conscience to jump to another body must reset the universe and the way of doing it is fastforwarding to the end of it and reconstructing itself again into a reality in which a different body was able to house it. It's like the universe is an array of realities made by instances of the same consciences but with different constants and variables. kind of like how programming works but at a very very more complex level.

So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel the same

So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel the same
Oh, Everybody's Changing, and I don't feel the same

Again, the chorus is the most important part to remember. "We have little time. Realize we are one experiencing the universe. We won't even remember our names when we come back. Everybody will change. Understand that if you ever feel like an intruder inside your body, maybe your are. Most of the time we understand ourselves through the experience of other people. ¿Have you ever been told sometimes people work like a mirror of ourselves? ¿Like when we reflex on something we said or did and that made us reflect on it? This is the same, basically. i strongly believe that conscious or unconsciously Tom Chaplin is reminding us we are one.

I think it's a nice theory to think about. it's like in the youtube video "the egg". we are one, we are the same. We gotta understand that thing in order to think twice before judging others and achieve a harmony of consciences (Our ultimate logical goal as a being, i guess. And i mean like... something that won't be achieved ever but we'll always get closed at the end of times)
