My son’s getting a credit card but I’m sure the limit will be low, likely lower than the amount he needs to pay for all the stuff like books and supplies. He said that he probably won’t need books! Which I found baffling.
- how much credit is needed to ramp up for a semester?
- do students need to buy books?
V1P value question here - my daughter is 12 years old wants to see Wet Leg and Charlie XCX. Considering which stages they might be on (I have no idea) and whether V1P benefits apply, will she be able to see anything being so short, 5'1"? Thanks for your advice based on experience before I drop $1k on each V1P tik
my friend runs a soccer camp here in town and I genuinely can't recommend it enough. I've sent my own kids and have watched other kids accelerate their performance on the field. The training is intense in the best way – my kids tell me it makes the real game feel slow. Great coaches, great energy, and they work with kids of all ages and skill levels.
Two sessions this summer (June 15–19 and July 27–31) at the Google campus. $399/week, all inclusive.
If you've got a kid who loves the game and wants to level up their technical skills, physical development, and overall game – these guys can help. For camp details check the flyer or reach out directly to Sean seanelisa@gmail.com or 650 > 282 < 0488.
I don’t see this camp flyer on their site below, but you can learn more about the organization there, they been training around here for years:
For young adults with $2k, low income (college) what’s the best brokerage to get started with investing. He just wants to invest in S&P, low fees, low minimums, open to suggestions or links to similar posts, thank you!
Went to Green & Fresh Cleaners with my son to get his suit tailored for prom and I overhear the shopkeeper complaining about the plaza being re-sold again by faceless monied forces. Which double fucks the businesses therein because the new money wants ROI on their investment in the form of higher rent. And the other kick in the nuts is that the sale of the property resets property taxes MUCH HIGHER for the business occupants to the point where they cannot remain there, or they have to increase their prices to us. Sounds like some broken bullshit to me. It’s not like a dry cleaner or any business can swiftly move to another location. And none of us have benefited from this change in ownership, quite the contrary.
