Whitesnake’s last studio record, which we were surprised they would continue to go this far. Amazingly great tracks that were followed at Hook City Studios. Joel and Reb absolutely killed it with pride! And let’s not forget Tommy’s insane performances that we would possibly get in one record! It can be clear that Flesh & Blood is all American-based hard rock, but you cannot take the blues out of Whitesnake. Sad to see the album would undoubtedly be the last ones to be recorded in the current hard rock times.
The album reached #7 in the UK, but #131 in the USA. Hopefully, it’ll all be in our memory!

Now where were we?
Ahh yes, nothing but the ol' Coverdale new material when it was released in 1977. Still carried that Deep Purple flavor, both musically and business-like affairs. After David got a £10,000 advance to start his solo album, it consisted a local guitar hero, Micky Moody—which the two were friends from the start even before the incarnation of Whitesnake. David had to record parts of his stuff in the UK and Germany simultaneously to avoid dreadful high taxes in England.
When it was released, it came from a wide variety of labels, primarily those that were licenced because major labels did not want to sign David at that time, so the Deep Purple management had to cut corners to licence them to release his album—but it had a little success. Over the years, much of the hardcore Whitesnake and Deep Purple fans would began to appreciate his first solo project—namely that’s what it is inspired to create this band we’re fond of today.
Many memories from that album! Both DC’s blues roots and a bit of Deep Purple’s magic! Do we have a Whitesnake, mama?
Until then, ciao!

From the BMG label: BMG and Concord today announced a definitive agreement to combine their businesses, creating the leading independent music company in the world. Operating under the BMG name, the combined company will bring together two highly complementary businesses to establish a scaled, global company delivering superior service to artists, songwriters, and partners – firmly grounded in an independent, artist-first model.
The combination comes amid significant transformation in the global music market, where scale, global reach, and technology investment are increasingly critical to remain competitive. Together, BMG and Concord will form a fully integrated global music company spanning music publishing, recorded music, theatrical rights, and digital distribution. This increased scale will enable deeper investment in creativity, next-generation technology, and world-class talent, and will preserve the entrepreneurial approach that artists, songwriters, and playwrights value.
What this means for the Whitesnake's catalogue: While David Coverdale said that the Whitesnake's RHINO albums (Warner Music) have been reverted back to Universal Music Group, there isn't much information to add at this time. There can be a possibility clause that Concord owns the Whitesnake's catalogue and having Universal Music distribute it for them at the time, we may possibly seek Whitesnake's digital rights being transferred to BMG (which BMG represents catalogues such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Dio). If the transfer occurs, BMG will have the possibility to put back the remaining RHINO catalogue that Concord have missed during digital reissues.
For your information, BMG's streaming rights division is all standalone. Physical media rights however would not change since Universal both handles the physical media of BMG and Concord.

Welcome new snakes to this subreddit!
You are brought here to this page. Why?
Answer: The internet is not only just a safe place for us Whitesnake fans to enjoy and engage, but it also attracts some hooligans and God knows what else. There are some people that might show up either as bots or they just lack common sense.
You might be wondering if you have already posted or commented in the Whitesnake subreddit for the first time and the reason it got removed immediately, because we don't want others who come to a post and spam or make some foolish batsh*t stuff that they have no idea what the f*** they are saying. As you see, this subreddit now has the "Read The Rules" app, which you are NOW REQUIRED to acknowledge to read the rules before posting or commenting on posts regardless of joining the group or not.
Our subreddit rules are just simple and straightforward, and you are obliged to follow them, even if you are not in the group. But it's okay, we love you all regardless!
Alright, enough talk for now. Have fun snakes!
