Advice for thickening and texturizing my curls?

Hi guys!! My absolute dream hair is Carrie Bradshaw in season 1 of SATC. I love that messy, super curly look. I've got curly hair, but it's moderately thin, and even with products the curls tend to fall out pretty quickly (a day or two). On about day three it loses most of the curl except around the ends, and is just a bland frizzy mess. Both pictures were taken a few hours after a wash, with mousse and gel in.

Should be conditioning and putting products in every other day to keep it curly? What products can use to thicken it and create texture without making it too terribly frizzy? Do I need to use a curling wand? Thank you in advance!

Why is there so much more interest in anxiety disorders vs personality disorders?

I'm headed into my senior year as a psychology student, and I've noticed that the vast majority of people interested in psychopathology/clinical psychology are interested in anxiety disorders. They prefer to learn about, talk about, and research those. In my advanced psychopathology course, my professor built the entire syllabus around anxiety and related disorders. We won't be learning about any others.

I absolutely love personality disorders, I think they're so much more fun and interesting. I was wondering if anyone knows why this discrepancy exists? I have trouble understanding why everyone loves anxiety disorders so much, which to me are already widely talked about and studied, and tend to fully neglect personality disorders (at least at my school, with my professors and classmates) even though there is SO much to learn about them.

Can someone recommend good books on personality disorders?

Hello! I'm heading into my senior year as a psychology major, and am looking to expand my reading list beyond what my classes require. I'm really interested in personality disorders, especially cluster B, I loved that section of my psychopathology course.

I'm currently reading Borderline by Alexander Kriss, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Although not an academic source, Jon Ronson's book surrounding ASPD (the subreddit rules won't let me write out the name) was a quick and fun read, and I'm sure I'd like more like that as well.

Mainly I'd love recommendations for ASPD or NPD next, since I'm currently reading Borderline, but I'd be super happy to add more sources on BPD to the list. Thank you in advance!

Had surgery earlier

Hey guys! Thank you for the advice on my last post. Today has actually been great, honestly. Pain is fluctuating between a 0 and 1, but mostly zero. Maybe like 0.5 sometimes. They gave me oxy but I haven't needed it since what they gave me at the hospital, about 7 hours ago. She said to take it every four hours AS NEEDED and use tylenol and ibuprofen on a regular schedule.

Drinking water is fine and actually easier than it was when I still had those gigantic tonsils taking up all the room in my throat. Pills just go down now too!

I've had a couple of ice cream sandwiches and some refried beans and rice. I wasn't planning on the beans and rice today, but people around me were talking about food and I was STARVING. It went well, it just took my pain from a 0 to a 1.

The only sucky thing is that blood was pouring out of my nose for like, 6 hours (I got my adenoids out too) but the doctor said it was normal and might last up to five days. It stopped an hour or two ago. This entire time there's been absolutely no air flow through my nose. Like, zero, it is completely stuck. So I hope that goes away soon, I really wanna see what it's like to breathe without those (also truly gigantic) adenoids.

Anyway, I know it won't stay this good the whole time, but I'm really hoping I'll get to be one of the rare "Wow, that actually wasn't that bad" stories on here. Good luck to everyone currently recovering or about to get the surgery. Even though the recovery was the part I was terrified of and couldn't stop thinking about, it's such a relief to actually have the surgery bit over.

Wish me luck that it stays this easy!! I know it won't but we'll get through this together!!

Does anyone have tips for the least painful recovery possible? And also what do I set my humidifier to

Hi guys! I have to be in the hospital in about an hour. I bought a humidifier, a neck ice pack, and lots of ice cream and yogurt and applesauce. Is there anything I'm missing, or any tips you guys have?

Also what percentage should I set the humidifier to?

Also how bad is sneezing?
