So I got approved for ssdi. I was also on ssi for a month temporarily bc i had no funds prior. But my ssdi was enough to cancel that once it started. Apparently I have 17k in an ssi account waiting to be paid out for backpay, and because of this my ssdi backpay was signficantly reduced. They said I'd still get it despite not being on ssi anymore. Is that true? Sucks that its being held from me just because I needed money for a month. If I hadn't needed money that month I would've gotten it all at once? I just want to make sure I'm actually going to get this, and that I dont need to have them take action. Ive gotten told multiple different answers from people at the ssa office. One told me the processing center will sort it out. Another told me its just whatever the letter says (which is wrong apparently according to this guy now). If i don't get this money I cant do much needed repairs on my old falling apart house or get the surgery that I need 😅 in total if I dont get this money I'll end up half of what I was supposed to get total.

So i was supposed to receive a total of 40k minus the 9k for my lawyer in backpay from ssdi from 2023. They started me on ssi, I only got 2000 from them as backpay. And then 662$ that month. And then the next month the ssi stopped. And I just got the ssdi this month. And now they are telling me that they are only going to be giving me 13k and thats it. Thats less than half of what the said theyd owe me? The math is not adding up to me. Is this right? I desperately needed that money. I have debt to pay off from years of being unable to work, I need a power assist for my wheelchair, and several repairs to my home. I dont feel like roughly 2600 should mean my backpay gets cut by like 17k. How do I fix this?

I was on ssi for a month. That was it. It was not even my decision. Nobody warned me about this. And that justifies cutting my backpay that much? I wouldve told them I was fine not having anything and living entirely off of the food pantry like I have been while I waited for ssdi.

Ontop of that theyre also messing up that Im on Medicare savings and shouldnt have my premiums being deducted but theyre doing that too. Im in illinois. Ive called the SSA and they were entirely unhelpful. They said to call idhs about the premiums and they should have paid me 17k less in ssi benefits. But I did not get 17k in ssi benefits. I got 2662. That was it.

Im pretty sure this is just because ive been on steroids for so long, but im having weird weight distribution. I keep putting on a lot of weight, and dont get me wrong I dont have anything against being fat, but its all going to my stomach and my face and literally *nowhere* else and I cant fit into clothes I fit into months ago ive replaced my wardrobe probably twice in the past year. Is this an insulin resistance thing? Ive heard insulin resistance is common after long term cortef use but my doctor hasnt mentioned anything about it. I am struggling with fatigue more than I have in a while. Especially after Ive eaten. I have pituitary insufficiency and hypothyroidism. My thyroid levels are in normal range (but we are working on getting them a tad bit higher)

I also havent been tested for adult growth hormone deficiency, and im a little unsure how to bring it up.

Its native where I live (illinois), and doesnt grow high. Takes moderate foot traffic well, which suits our needs. My only question is... how should I go about this. How many seeds will I need and what should my method be for getting it to replace my lawn?

Before anyone asks i dont have an HOA and my city is pretty hands off about lawns as long as its not neglected overgrown tall grass (current situation bc everyone in the household is too disabled to mow frequently). We already have a decent amount on our front lawn, but not enough to take over by any means. I can post a picture of the current grass situation if necessary. Are there other native plants that would go well with it?

Ive had a zephyrus gu502gv since 2019. Around 2 years ago the battery stopped holding any charge. 0% all the time, dies immediately upon being unplugged, i was unsuprised bc I used it pretty excessively when i was in highschool. But I kept using it anyway, just had it plugged in all the time and was verrryyy careful to not unplug it on accident bc i was too broke to get it fixed or buy a new one. Ended up having a software problem that required a bios update to fix. Didnt realize it was going to lock me into the power warning screen and that I couldnt bypass it. Oops. So I havent used it since, and wasnt worried about it bc I got a desktop as a gift. Fast forward to now, im traveling for about a month, figure its time to get it fixed. Was looking into self repair bc id prefer to save the money and a battery replacement is pretty simple. Tried everything i could to get it out of the ex flash warning so i could atleast run the asus self repair software and get the parts. Eventually came across someone suggesting to disconnect the battery bc that allowed them to bypass the warning. Didnt work for me, so i reconnected the battery, so i ended up getting in touch with a few different repair places trying to figure out who could repair it and who had the best price. I get off the phone with the last one I called, and unplug the laptop. A few minutes later i notice I still could hear fans. Thought I was going insane. Open laptop again. Its on..and unplugged. I dont know why it decided to work *now* of all times. Because I had disconnected and reconnected the battery before (after it stopped holding charge) to repaste my cpu and gpu.

Anyway its updating bios now.
