How many chlorine molecules in a hot tub?

Hi, I'm a writer and I have a character who needs to say "There are over ___ chlorine molecules in this hot tub." But I have no idea how to calculate that. You could pick whatever average to huge size of hot tub you wanted if you know how to calculate it. He's a wealthy character.

Ketamine and Mood Stabilizers

Hi, me and my psychiatrist have a question for the broader community. (He's super chill lol.) Has anyone been on lamotrigine (Lamictal) and/or lithium and gotten little to no results on ketamine? Did you stop either drug and did it work on your mood? My psychiatrist has a theory that my mood stabilizers are what is keeping me from getting barely any (if any) effect from ketamine. I'm not considering stopping any of my meds, but we are just trying to investigate why I haven't been getting good results from ketamine.

Personally shocked that newsletters are such a thing.

I'm new to self publishing, but I keep seeing such focus on growing your mailing lists. How this is the way to actually get your books sold. As a reader, I've only ever signed up for one email list from a major author, and I've opened those emails maybe twice. Am I just outside the norm? I do have loyalty to certain authors and will buy entire backlists if I find a book I like. That said, I've never wanted them to email me. I feel like the last thing people want in today's age is more emails. I feel like I've stumbled into an alternate universe with this newsletter stuff.

Best HIV "Hacks"

What's your best HIV "hack"? Not something as obvious as take your meds every day, but something you've figured out that works for you that you'd like to share.

I read a comment where someone suggested taking your meds in the morning instead of at night so you don't have to have anxiety about it all day.

Super frustrated.

I started ketamine in February 2026. At first, it seemed like the intranasal ketamine was having some effect on my depression. I'm not going to lie, it's so gross I couldn't handle it. It's like snorting gasoline.

I then switched to troches and things went to shit, moodwise. My psychiatrist thinks I was swallowing too much, so not making enough drug available to myself. Fine.

We then switched to subcutaneous injections. I got no real results at low doses. My psychiatrist determined I was being "undertreated".

We upped my dose and for a week (three sessions) it seemed like the needle was moving on my depression. Then it plateaued and my mood got worse again.

Doing ketamine every second day at a dose of 2.0cc, followed by a stacked dose of another 2.0cc thirty minutes after SHOULD BE DOING SOMETHING! I haven't told my psychiatrist that thr dose doesn't just get me into the "suggestible window", it sends me into the fucking stratosphere. Immediately after and for the day I do ketamine, I have way less anxiety from the "hangover" dissociation feeling. Besides the high (which I always enjoy, even khole) I don't feel like this is working. What am I doing wrong that I can't have these success stories everyone talks about on this sub?

Does anyone have suggestions? Are my expectations too high?

Subcutaneous vs Intra Muscular

Which injection is "better"? Can someone explain the difference as to how the ketamine is being used within your body depending on how it gets in you? People who have tried both--thoughts? Experiences?

I'm on 2.0cc sub q followed by a stacked dose of another 2.0cc sub q thirty minutes after the first dose. I do think once my needle person accidentally gave me an IM injection and I did think it felt different as far as the effect, but I can't really say as I haven't officially tried both.

Severe Acne - Side Effect of Ketamine

I'm wondering if anyone else had this experience with severe acne being a side effect of ketamine and if anyone's provider had a good explanation for them.

I started with intranasal ketamirne. The experience of that is gross so I asked to switch to oral/troches. My psychiatrist thinks I was swallowing too much rather than absorbing the drug, so to cut out the "middleman", we switched to subcutaneous injections.

I had been doing ketamine in the former two formats for at least two months before switching to sub q. The morning after my first injection (I don't remember the dose, but it was under 1.0cc for sure. Now I take 2.0cc and another 2.0cc thirty mins after the first injection.) I woke up with the most severe acne including cystic acne, all over my cheeks and chin. It was so severe that this happened in March and even with a prescription skin cream, my acne is just finally resolving in late August. I'm obviously pretty scarred up. I asked some anesthesiologists who use ketamine quite a bit if they've ever heard of this. They both said no. (Keep in mind they don't exactly ever follow up with a patient after surgery either though.) My psychiatrist's best answer was that "the ketamine caused a release of sex hormones".

Can someone smarter than me guess or know why this happened? I'm now doing sub q ketamine at 2.0cc followed by another 2.0cc stacked dose 30 minutes after the first dose. I've never had another one of these acne "storms" but I'm really afraid I will and I want to try and understand it so I can try to prevent it. (I know it's "just" acne, but people treat you worse. They think you are dirty and don't wash your face. More than half my face was made up of acne. Now I'm just hoping at least some of the scarring fades.)

Blindsided Bind: A Love Story where a blind woman finds her happily ever after!

I just published my very first book. None of us were professionals, but from cover design, narration, to hopefully the writing, we pulled it off! Available on Kindle and Kobo for 3.99. (The audiobook is still being approved but should be online soon.)

Miranda and Hayden are certain of one thing-there will be no love at first sight for either of them. When it comes to dating, confronting others' endless assumptions renders each of them hopelessly unlucky. As a blind woman, Miranda has a hard time even believing in love at first sight. And with Hayden being a world-renowned celebrity, he's more used to people falling in love with his reputation than with him. But when a chance encounter causes their worlds to-literally-collide, could their luck in love be finally turning?

Just published, it's so quiet

I know everyone warns you that the day you publish will just feel like any other day to everyone else, but it's so quiet. Not even my family bought my book. It sucks to see art so devalued in everyone's lives. Blah.
