How common is it to use the word habibi in a gender neutral way?

I know it's supposed to be masculine but I feel like people who use it in English generally use it more neutrally. Is it common among Arabic speakers? Not really learning Arabic just curious

Why are Oghur languages considered a branch of a "Turkic" family instead of smth like "Oghur-Turkic" when they aren't really connected to the Gokturks etc?

like to me it feels equivalent to calling the "Balto-Slavic" branch Slavic, and then calling the languages of historic Slavs "common Slavic"

If we only knew about modern Welsh, Ukrainian and Hindi, and didn't know about other Indo-European languages or their old written texts, would linguists able to deduce that they are related?

Why does Colemak change the position of the letter Y but not B? They're both semi-frequent letters and take the same annoying position. Is it because of shortcuts and stuff?

By the way the problem isn't just about their ages. Even if Zoink and Wpopoff were both 25yo it'd still be completely disgusting, in some cases illegal, and worthy of being kicked out of the community

Everyone accepts that music/theater etc are art, but from my experience, when someone says the word "art" in vacuum, it almost always refers to paintings/visual art. Is there a reason behind this?
