Hey everyone — would really appreciate some guidance here.

I’m a filmmaker, so my “activity” isn’t running — it’s basically walking and standing around on set for 10–12+ hours a day when I’m working. I’m also on the heavier side and recently noticed I have moderate overpronation (heels rolling inward).

I previously owned, the New Balance Fresh Foam More V3's which I had to throw away because of the overpronation. It basically changed it's shape so much that anyone putting their foot in it would instantly twist their ankle and fall haha.

Right now I own the On Cloudmonster 2

I like the comfort and look, but I’ve learned it’s a neutral shoe, so I’m not sure if it’s ideal for my gait long-term.

And I'm looking to add another shoe for rotation and essentially another color way different from what I own right now.

I’ve been researching and considering:

- Hoka Arahi 8 (moderate stability)

- Hoka Gaviota 6 (max stability + cushion)

- On Cloudmonster Void (mainly because it looks great, but I know it’s more lifestyle)

- On Cloudmonster 3 Wide

My confusion:

- Do I actually need something like Gaviota 6, or is that overkill for moderate pronation?

- Is Arahi 8 enough support given higher body weight + long standing hours?

- Should I go for the Cloudmonster 3's? or Void or even the OG one?

- Where does something like Cloudmonster Void fit in — is it just for style days or should I avoid all together?

- I've also researched the ASICS Gel Kayano 32 and some Puma MagMax + some more models but I'm not honestly happy with how they visually look. Are they significantly better than the models I'm considering? Should I prioritize the benefits they come with vs how they look?

Also, I roughly work around 7-10 days a month (in gaps) so use-case too isn't 30 days back to back.

What I’m trying to achieve:

👉 Reduce stress on knees/ankles during long shoot days

👉 Have something I can wear daily without fatigue

👉 Still not look like I’m wearing a full-on orthopedic shoe 😅

Would love input from people with similar use cases (long standing/walking, not running) or more knowledge than I have .

Thanks in advance!
