Why Brad Pitt owed Eric Bana $200 during Troy 💵

Brad Pitt and Eric Bana made a gentleman's agreement while filming the iconic Achilles vs. Hector duel in Troy (2004): whoever accidentally hit the other would pay $50 for a light hit and $100 for a hard hit. 💵

By the end of production, Brad Pitt ended up owing Bana $200 after clipping him four times. Eric Bana, on the other hand, was so precise that he didn't hit Pitt a single time, walking away with a perfect record and a clean wallet!

This was the most impactful portrayal of the blip for me 😳

One of the most powerful scenes in the MCU is seeing the Snap and the Blip from Yelena Belova’s perspective because it makes an event we’d only understood on a massive, cosmic scale suddenly feel terrifyingly personal.

The transition happens in seconds: Yelena walks into a bathroom, and as the room shifts around her, five years have passed without her even realizing she disappeared.

Disney wants Avatar 4 & 5 cheaper and faster. James Cameron says it’ll take a year to figure out how. 🎬💸

During an interview on the Empire Film Podcast, James Cameron explained exactly why he wants to shift his approach for the next two sequels.

Check out what James Cameron said:

>You know, I’ll be doing some writing. I’ve got a number of projects that I’m cooking. And ‘Avatar 4’ and ‘5’ are still floating out there.

>We’re going to be looking at some new technologies to try to do them more efficiently. Because they’re hideously expensive and take a long time. I want to do them in half the time for two-thirds of the cost. That’s my metric. And so, it’s going to take us a year or so to figure out how to do that.

By saying they are "still floating out there," he admits that Disney hasn't given them the final, unconditional go-ahead until the math makes sense.

It is so disappointing to read this news. The Avatar franchise (only 3 movies) has made more money than any other series in movie history. Even though the latest film didn't meet their massive expectations, it still made a huge $1.5 billion. It's frustrating that they are already trying to cut costs just to protect their profits.

I'm glad Neytiri finally gets to smile at the end of Avatar 3.

Neytiri. After everything she has been through, a genuine moment of peace and joy for her is so deeply deserved.

Still can’t believe X-Men '97 actually resolved the biggest 90s cliffhanger of all time. 🕸️

Spider-Man: AS ended up in 1998 with a massive cliffhanger, as Madame Web brought Peter Parker through the multiverse to track down the actual Mary Jane (MJ).

When the X-Men '97 finale dropped in 2024, the show's creators (Beau DeMayo) officially verified that Peter managed to find his MJ by featuring Peter and MJ together. Fans finally got to witness this closure after 26 years!

💡 Fun Facts:

The timeline and universe of the 90s shows X-Men: The Animated Series and Spider-Man: The Animated Series were exactly the same. Fans refer to this entire shared universe as the Marvel Animated Universe (MAU), which is officially named Earth-92131.

It wasn't just Spider-Man and the X-Men; the 90s cartoons of Iron Man, Fantastic Four, and The Incredible Hulk were also part of the same animated universe. Marvel had actually built a perfect 'cinematic universe' in animation long before the live-action MCU!
