Any good WeWork-style places in Bucharest?

Hey,

I’ll be in Bucharest for a few days and need a place to work from.

I work in tech and will have my laptop with me. Looking for something similar to WeWork — good Wi-Fi, a monitor I can connect to if possible, and somewhere it’s okay to jump on a few calls without feeling awkward.

Any coworking spaces you’d recommend?

Thanks!

[Request] Postcard exchange with anyone around the world 🌍 [Israel]

Hi everyone,

I’m from Israel and I’d love to exchange postcards with people from anywhere in the world.

The last couple of years have been difficult for many people in this region. As an Israeli, it’s been a hard time for me, and I often find myself thinking about the suffering on all sides. Because of that, I’ve been trying to focus more on connecting with people, learning about different cultures, and finding small positive things that bring people together.

I love traveling, football, local food, and hearing stories from places I’ve never been. I’d be happy to send a postcard from Israel and would love to receive one from wherever you are.

If you’re interested in exchanging postcards, leave a comment or send me a message.

Wishing everyone peaceful and happier days ahead.

[Exchange] Israel 🇮🇱 looking to swap tea with anyone around the world

Hi everyone!

I’m from Israel and I’d love to do a tea exchange with someone from anywhere in the world.

I enjoy trying different teas and learning about tea culture in other countries. I can send a selection of teas that are popular here, including local herbal blends, mint teas, black teas, and anything interesting I can find.

I’m open to exchanging with any country and would love to discover new flavors and traditions. This would be my first tea exchange, but I’ve done plenty of international shipping before.

If you’re interested, send me a message and let’s work something out!

Best Turkish restaurant and arancini in Dublin?

Hi everyone,
I’m visiting Dublin as a tourist and just wanted to say I’ve really been enjoying the city so far. The people have been great and I’ve had a fantastic time here.
I’m looking for two things before I leave:
The best Turkish restaurant in Dublin.
The best place to get arancini (the Italian rice balls).
I don’t mind traveling a bit if it’s worth it. I’d love to hear your recommendations, especially places that locals rate highly.
Thanks!

[Request] Israel 🇮🇱 looking to exchange snacks with anywhere!

Hi everyone!

I’m from Israel and I’d love to do a snack exchange with someone from anywhere in the world. I’m open to any country and would love to try new snacks, candies, chips, chocolates, drinks, or local specialties.

In return, I can send a box with a variety of Israeli snacks and treats. We have some pretty unique stuff here and I’d be happy to put together a nice mix.

This would be my first exchange, but I’m excited to give it a try. Let me know if you’re interested!

Where’s the best place to buy football scarves in Bucharest?

Hey everyone,

I’ll be in Bucharest soon and I’m looking to pick up some football scarves, preferably local Romanian clubs but I’m open to anything football-related.

Any good shops, markets, stadium stores, or hidden gems you’d recommend? Not looking for expensive collector items, just decent scarves at reasonable prices.

Thanks!

Best arancini and Turkish food in Bucharest?

Hey everyone,
I’ll be visiting Bucharest again soon. I’ve been there before and honestly, I really love the city. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and I always end up having a good time there.
I’m looking for two things:
The best arancini in Bucharest. I’m a huge fan of Sicilian food and would love to find proper arancini.
The best Turkish restaurant in the city. Doesn’t have to be fancy, just somewhere with really good, authentic food.
Local favorites, hidden gems, family-run places, anything like that.
Thanks a lot!

Best arancini in Bucharest?

Hey,

Bit of a random one, but does anyone know where I can get really good arancini in Bucharest?

I’ll be visiting soon and I’m a huge fan of Sicilian food. Looking for proper arancini, not frozen or supermarket-style ones.

Any recommendations? Doesn’t have to be a fancy restaurant, could be a small Italian place, bakery, or hidden gem.

Thanks!

Spent 8 days in Serbia and kinda fell in love with the random moments

Just got back from 8 days in Serbia in October and wanted to dump a few pics because this country ended up way prettier and way more interesting than I expected.

Not gonna lie, I mostly expected cities, food and some nice views, but October in Serbia hit differently. Cold mornings, ridiculous autumn colors, empty roads, random sunsets and forests that looked unreal. One minute you’re driving through mountains, next minute there’s a tiny church glowing at night or some guy casually hauling wood down a road like it’s completely normal.

A few pic moments:

1 - Random road in the forest behind a tractor carrying wood
Felt like one of those accidental travel moments. Tiny road, quiet forest, cold air, leaves everywhere, absolutely nowhere to be and somehow it felt cinematic.

2 - Mountain viewpoint (still can’t get over this one)
One of those places where you stop talking for a second because it looks fake in real life. Massive valley, crazy blue water and mountains in every direction.

3 - Random Lidl stop with an aggressively nice October sky
Honestly Serbia made even supermarket stops feel weirdly aesthetic.

4 - Tiny hut in the hills around sunset
No clue where we even were at this point, but this whole area felt peaceful in a “nothing happening but somehow everything feels nice” kinda way.

5 - Small church glowing at night
This ended up being one of my favorite vibes from the trip. Cold October evening, quiet road, almost nobody around and suddenly a church glowing in the middle of nowhere.

6 - Another ridiculous mountain view
Serbia has so many places where you turn a corner and suddenly the landscape goes completely insane.

7 - Random sunset between apartment buildings
Didn’t expect city sunsets to hit this hard.

8 & 9 - Forest walks in autumn
Probably my favorite part of the trip. Just endless trees, quiet paths and those ridiculous October colors.

Biggest thing I learned: don’t overplan Serbia. Rent a car if you can, stop randomly, pull over when something looks cool, wander through places you didn’t even mean to visit. Half the best moments were the ones we didn’t plan at all.

October might genuinely be the perfect time to go.

7 days in Istanbul in winter and honestly… the nights were the best part

Just got back from 7 days in Istanbul and wanted to dump a few pics because this city is ridiculously photogenic in winter.

Not gonna lie, I thought winter would make it feel depressing, but it was kinda the opposite. Cold air, wet streets, tea everywhere, mosque lights at night, random cats judging you from every corner. Felt like the city had way more atmosphere.

A few pic moments:

1 & 5 - Taksim Mosque at night
I randomly walked past it and had one of those “damn this looks cool” moments. Looks way better at night than during the day imo. Massive and glowing in the middle of the city.

2 - Spice Bazaar
Yeah touristy, but still fun. So many spices, sweets, nuts, Turkish delight, random dudes trying to give you tea. Worth walking through at least once.

3 - Random street near Taksim at night
This was honestly my favorite Istanbul vibe. Wet streets, lights everywhere, tiny restaurants, smoke coming out of cafés, weird little side streets that somehow feel cooler than the places you planned to see.

4 - Random mosque glowing between buildings
This happened so many times. You’re just walking and suddenly there’s a huge mosque glowing orange between apartment blocks like it’s completely normal.

6 - Walking near Galata Bridge
Freezing cold but so good. Ferries, people fishing, tea sellers, skyline in the background. One of those places where nothing special is happening but somehow it feels like a movie.

7 - Random Mustafa Keser mural
No clue why but stuff like this made me love the city more. Big tourist attractions are cool, but Istanbul feels best when you accidentally find random weird things.

Biggest thing I learned: don’t overplan. Pick an area and just walk. Every time I tried to “go somewhere” I ended up finding cooler stuff on the way.

Also, the cats 100% own Istanbul and we’re all just visitors.

Too much time on Inis Mór? Ferry from Doolin (9:00–16:15)

Hey everyone,

I booked the ferry from Doolin to Inis Mór from 9:00 to 16:15 and now I’m wondering if that might actually be too much time on the island.

For people who’ve been there, is there enough to do for that long? We’ll probably rent bikes or maybe an e-bike and explore, but I’m not sure if 7+ hours is too much or just right.

Also, how is the diving there? Are there good spots or is it not really worth it for a short visit?

Would love to hear your experience.

Roborock F25 owners, do you also get dirt marks left on the floor?

Hey, I’ve had the Roborock F25 for a few months now and overall I like it, but I have two things that annoy
me and wanted to ask if anyone else experienced this.

Sometimes dust or dirt gets wet instead of picked up properly, and it ends up leaving marks/streaks on the floor. It feels like the dirt just gets dragged a bit. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
I understood that you’re not supposed to use cleaning liquid other than the official Roborock one. Because of that, I was wondering if anyone just pours water + floor soap on the floor first and then goes over it with the F25. Is that safe for the machine or a bad idea?

Best hiking app for trails in Ireland (Spinc Trail)?

Hi everyone,

Quick question from a first time Ireland visitor.

We’ll be doing a few hikes during our trip (for example the Spinc Trail in Glendalough), and I’m looking for an app that shows the trail route while hiking so we don’t accidentally miss turns or get lost.

Ideally something with GPS navigation/trail maps that works well in Ireland. I’d prefer a free app, but if it costs a few euros/dollars for a week or a small subscription, that’s totally fine too.

I’ve heard names like AllTrails and Komoot, but I’m not sure what people in Ireland actually use or what works best for places like Wicklow, Connemara, Kerry, etc.

What would you recommend?

Thanks 😄

Doolin to Inis Mór: Ferry company + is snorkeling/diving freezing in June?

Hi everyone,

I checked older posts but still had a couple of very specific questions for our June trip.

My girlfriend and I will be staying in Doolin and taking a day trip to Inis Mór. We’re planning to do snorkeling/seal snorkeling and a scuba dive on the island.

A few questions:

  1. Is the water in June absolutely freezing, or manageable with a wetsuit? We’re used to swimming, but not in very cold Atlantic water, so just trying to understand what to expect and whether it’s enjoyable or more of a “survive the cold” experience 😅
  2. For getting from Doolin to Inis Mór, which ferry company would you recommend and why? Is there any real difference between them in reliability, seasickness, parking, timing, etc.?

Would love to hear from anyone who has actually done water activities around the Aran Islands.

Thanks!

Specific advice on 3 parts of our June route (Kerry, Doolin, Burren)

Hi everyone,

I checked the wiki and searched older posts first, but I still had a few route specific questions for our first Ireland trip in June.

We already booked accommodation and a rental car, so not looking for a full itinerary review, more advice from people who have driven these areas.

Our route is:

2 nights Dublin → Kilkenny via Glendalough → 2 nights Killarney (including Dingle Peninsula) → 1 night near Kells Bay/Ring of Kerry → 2 nights Doolin (with Inis Mór) → 2 nights Galway/Salthill + Connemara → back to Dublin.

A few specific questions:

  1. We want to walk Gap of Dunloe in the morning and then continue Kenmare → Sneem → Waterville → Kerry Cliffs before sleeping near Kells Bay. Does this sound realistic in June or too rushed?
  2. Driving from Kerry to Doolin, we’re planning to take the Tarbert to Killimer ferry. In mid June should we pre book or can we just show up?
  3. On the Doolin to Galway drive, are there any short Burren stops or quick walks that are genuinely worth it without turning it into a full extra day?

Also, if there is one “don’t miss this” stop along this exact route that tourists often overlook, I’d love to hear it.

Thanks a million!

Best Anniversary Date Ideas Along Our Ireland Itinerary (€70 pp budget)?

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend and I (both mid 20s) are visiting Ireland for the first time this June, and during the trip we’ll be celebrating our anniversary ❤️

We love nature, hiking, cozy pubs, scenic views, live music, and unique experiences. I’m looking for the best date ideas or memorable couple experiences that fit our itinerary, ideally around €70 per person or less.

We’ll be in:

Dublin (2 nights)
Kilkenny (1 night)
Killarney (2 nights) with Dingle Peninsula and Ring of Kerry
Kells Bay area (1 night)
Doolin + Aran Islands (2 nights)
Galway/Salthill (2 nights) with a day in Connemara

We already plan to do places like Glendalough, Dingle, Gap of Dunloe, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, and Connemara, so I’m more looking for special experiences or hidden gems.

Could be a romantic pub with music, boat trip, horseback riding, kayaking, sunset spot, amazing restaurant, cute café, scenic picnic place, spa, or anything that feels like a really memorable anniversary date.

If you had to recommend one amazing couple experience on this route, what would it be?

Thanks 😄
