For those who had surgery in Tijuana, how long did it take to Uber -> cross border -> Uber?

Basically title.

I'm landing in San Diego tonight. Ubering to San Ysidro in the morning. Then Ubering to Dr. Zuriel's clinic.

If my surgery is at 11, do you think it will be enough time if I leave at 8:30? 1hr to Uber to border, 1hr to cross the border, 15 mins to Uber to clinic with 15 mins to spare? Or should I plan on more time spent at the border? I have never gone into another country without it being through customs at an airport before.

I also know that some people say the connection is spotty at the border, I have T-Mobile if it helps, did you have a hard time booking a ride to TJ?

TIA for easing my last minute travel panic !!

Did your family immediately notice you had work done?

I'm having lipo, facetite, endolift, and jaw contouring with Dr Zuriel in a few days. Deposit paid, flight booked, no going back.

However, just last week, a total financial bomb hit and wiped out our emergency savings, and we had to ask family for help for the rest, which they were more than happy to do.

They are going to be seeing us in a few weeks. My surgery is end of May, and they'll be seeing us in mid June.

My hope is that there will be enough swelling, but no visible bruising or incisions, during that time so as to hide the fact that I had this done. I do not want them to think that we just used them for money while we spent all of ours on frivolous things, I had been working up to this surgery for years and had no way to anticipate the emergency that wiped us out.

What was your experience? Did people immediately clock the difference?

Most of the posts I see asking this question have wayyyyyy more money than me, so I'd love if someone could help me parse through my specific numbers.

I take home around $3000/mo doing DevOps/SRE (yes, I know it's low, yes, I am busting my ass to get something else).

My partner who is in full-time college takes home about $1000/mo.

My car has about $7500 left on it, at 8% interest. My payments are around $180/mo.

I have been saving between $600-1000/mo but recent medical events chunked my savings as well as what I take home, but that will be paid off in the next few months.

I have $2000 in savings right now at 3.50% interest. HOWEVER my credit union has a first time homebuyer savings account at 7% interest that I can move that all to once I open the account.

My rent is $1200/mo. This is as low as it gets around here.

My deadline is next March before I have to renew my lease at my shit ass apartment. I am currently working on call for two departments plus overtime for extra cash to save so I am not opposed to draining my life force to make this happen.

With this lineup, should I throw my $2k at my car and keep chunking it ASAP, only saving a little for emergencies, at the cost of a smaller down payment? Or should I keep paying my regular car payment and keep dumping into that homebuyer savings to have as much of a down payment as possible?

I'm sold on going to Tijuana, but I'm narrowing down between Dr. Zuriel or Beauty by the Experts. If anyone can share their experiences with either (especially before/afters if you're willing!!) that would be amazing!! Here's where I'm at for reference. I'm thinking I'll need lipo and facetite. I'm HOPING I don't need a neck lift as well...I'm 26.
