Would you like paper bags today?

It's a simple question. Why can't you give me a simple yes or no answer instead of a torrent of useless information about all the other bags you own and where you left them? None of that answers my question or moves the process forward. For the love of God, I'm a cashier at a retail store, not your life coach and organizational therapist.

Measuring Crew Reg Performance

Does anyone know if crew performance on reg (as measured in transactions per hour, total/average sales, or similar metrics) are typically monitored by mates and captains from the bridge? I imagine they can run reports to get such information.

Anyone else get the "Constant Thanker" customers?

I get irritated by the "constant thankers". These are always women who are watching my every move and keep saying "Thank You" throughout the entire transaction. I start scanning from the cart: "Thank You". I pull out the bag tray and commence bagging: "Thank You". Start a new bag: "Thank You". Load cart with bags: "Thank You". Tell her the total cost: "Thank You". It's exhausting when they try and suck me into a pointless exchange of phony gratitude while I'm just doing my job. I usually say, 'no problem ' to the first Thank You and ignore everything that follows. Why the incessant stream of inappropriate communication?

Why can't the warehouse make an effort to slap on the license plates near the bottom of the box? The cumulative time savings for crew not having to peel it off and relocate it prior to cutting down the box would make a difference.
