Hoping for Ayo
With the release of the final season of The Bear I’m really hoping the fellas have Ayo Edebiri on. She’s always such a great guest — hilarious and just totally gets it. Fingers crossed 🤞

Wanted to challenge myself (and the M1P) to see just what the new flagship GoPro was capable of.
Also included the video settings for every shot in the vlog for those beginners who want some help getting started.
TL;DR — My main takeaways from this test/challenge:
For the mods: This is not me trying to build my career as a vlogger. Simply posting as a video test for those curious about the image quality of the new cameras and to if others have had similar experiences.
Any one else going to the Boston/Medford live show tomorrow evening 6/27? I’m going by myself and would love to meet up with some other fellow CBB lovers possibly after the show cause non of my friends or family are into it.
Paid $600 of my own money to get this camera so I figured might as well make an unboxing video like all other years since up until now all the videos have been by sponsored influencers.
TAKEAWAYS:
You get a lens hood now (so one additional “accessory” over the HERO 13) but otherwise it’s just crazy how little they include. No carrying case, no flat adhesive mount, no wall adapter or MicroSD card. At least you get 4 stickers though!
Size is almost the same as the HERO 13. Considering how much more the MISSION 1 weighs, I was surprised that the size is basically the same other than the lens.
Who TF is actually filming in 8K?! Filmed like one or two sample clips with the M1P to put in my video. Maybe 5-6 min of video max. Total file size? 10.1GB 🤯 And that was 8K/24. Can’t imagine at any higher frame rate.
Overall camera seems well built - let’s see if GoPro as a company can survive the next year.
I was fortunate enough to receive the Mic Pro early for review in my tech channel since I focus on 32bit float wireless lav mics. Just put out my review video but here’s the TL;DR for those who don’t want to watch a video:
🎙️ Sound on par or better the all mics except RODE Wireless Pro/GO III
🤩 E-Ink screen is super unique and eye-catching. Also you’ll probably get bored of it after a few weeks and leave it set to one thing
🛜 400m wireless range is legit and ties DJI Mic 3 (Also, who needs that much range?)
🏋️♂️ At ~20g it’s not light but also not the heaviest. Still sometimes wished it was lighter
🔇 Noise cancellation mode is hands down the best of any mic I’ve tested. Kinda crazy how powerful it is.
Basically, this is an INCREDIBLY strong product considering that it’s Insta360’s first real dedicated audio device. DJI users will pass because of the lack of proprietary Osmo Audio connection, but any Insta360 user or even general videographer/creator will find a hard time finding better specs or features in a 32bit float wireless lave mic.
However, the $329 price is tough considering DJI has dropped its Mic 3 from $349 to $259 😬
Feel free to ask me any questions.
Shoutout to the several groups of students/young adults I’ve seen out picking up trash today around Keene (including Monadnock Marketplace and down on Emerald St).
It’s amazing how much difference you can make in 1-2hrs with a few trash bags and some friends. Free exercise and making our community look nicer.
