My 7 year old autistic son doesn’t like going to birthday parties. Would you encourage him to go to hang out with his friends or leave the decision up to him? He gets upset when telling him he should go.

How much screen time does your child have? I am finding that the screen time causes my 3 boys (age 3 and 7) to not do anything else so I’m thinking we should cut it out until the weekend. They don’t play with Lego, draw or sit and do anything. My 7 year old used to, so maybe there was less screen time then. Now from around 5 they just run around crazy. Or is this an autism thing?
Did anyone else research autism a lot in the lead up to their assessment? I’ve read quite a few books, watched YouTube videos and read online. Sometimes I over think and think maybe I’m not autistic but I’m pretty sure I am!

How do you tell the difference between a friend and an acquaintance?
Would they be an acquaintance if they never message me first or send a message asking how I am? 2 months went by and they never thought to message me. I messaged them and they replied but it’s never the other way around.
Now I just can’t be bothered messaging as it always seems one way.

Does anyone find it easier to communicate through song lyrics (play a playlist of songs)instead of telling the person out loud how you feel in the moment?
