I've had my 26 GT-line for 2 months now and the car frequently doesn't register the key fob. I've tried both of them, replaced batteries etc. Sometimes if I have the fob in my pocket and push the door unlock it doesn't work, then 10 minutes later it works. Today it unlocked the door but wouldn't start the car even when I put it on the phone charger and I had to put the digital key there. I'm taking it in to the dealer next week, I'm assuming it's a car problem, not a key fob problem.

One thing I noticed when I tried going keyless and using the digital key is that I have to open the app and put the phone on the phone charger in order for it to work, so I have to take my phone out of my pocket every time which makes it as bad as the key fob. Is it supposed to work like that or should the car recognize it in my Google Wallet without having to start the app?

I leased a 2026 EV-6 10 days ago and turned in my 2024 on which the lease was expiring. They charged and washed it and after all the paperwork was done the salesman handed me the keys, manual and the extra adapter and said "Enjoy your new car!" and walked away. Now granted I was turning in an older model of the same car, but there have been changes and I've always had a salesman go through a checklist with me before I leave the dealership. For one thing, he didn't tell me there was a specific order to attach the adapter when charging, I had to find that out online.

A few days later I get an automated email from KIA " Congrats on your delivery" and in the middle it said:

Then it showed the salesman's name, then my name and there was a graphic below that didn't load but I think was a copy of my signature which they could have gotten from the lease application.

So in other words, not only did they not go over the vehicle or have me walk around to inspect the car, but they completed their form and said they did all of that and presumably filled in my signature. How shady is that???

I went to purchase a rubber trunk mat for my new 2026 Kia EV-6 GT-line and on Amazon it said the Best EV Mod would fit but it didn't, the extended part is on the right side of my car because the charging port is on the driver's side, which is the opposite of the 2024 I traded it in for. ( I should have known better because I was ordering the same one I got for my 2024 and when I tried to take it out of my old vehicle it wouldn't fit the new one, but Amazon said it would fit the 2026.)

Does anyone know where I can find a trunk mat that will fit? Canvasback shows one but it also shows the extended part on the wrong side as does everything I can see on Amazon.

I just picked up a new EV-6 GT-line to replace the one I had leased for the last 2 years. I have a couple questions on charging now that it's gone to the NACS port:

1. I charged it at home using my level 2 charger and even though the charging limit was set to 100 in the Kia Connect app, it shut off at 70%. I remember having an issue on my old Kia where I had to go in and lower the charging rate for the charger so maybe it shut off because of that, but it's weird it stopped at 70%.

2. I've heard that charging at a Tesla station is a lot slower than the fast charging I'm used to. Is that just the Tesla stations or others that use the NACS port as well? They gave me 2 adapters, one that has the pins at the bottom so if I use that at an Electrify America station will it fast charge?

Just curious, does anyone use a screen protector for the display on your bike? Seems like the sun and getting dirt etc on it could be a problem unless the glass resists all that.

I'm trying to acquire an I5 Limited, I had one before so I know it's what I want. I currently have an EV6 and the lease runs out on 8/16. I'm picky about color and want to get a red one with black interior, I have one reserved at 2 dealers near me and will buy from the one that comes in first.

Originally they showed arrival dates of 7/14 and 7/23 but this week they changed to 8/2 and 8/8. I know from the past that delivery dates can change and 8/2 or 8/8 will work but if they go past 8/16 it's going to get complicated. Do you think it's likely that they'll change again? Is there something going on that's causing delays?

So I just read on Reddit about a problem with the batteries on the 2025-2026 Ioniq 5 in California. Cars are being recalled. I am looking to lease an Ioniq 5 soon when the lease on my EV6 is over but now I'm a little leery. Has anyone heard about this? It was just posted this morning.

So I've had my Breeze take off on me a few times now while walking it somewhere, today it happened while I was about to park it at a bike rack and I ended up with a couple bruises. It only happens in Cadence mode which I don't use that often and I try to remember to switch to Torque when I'm at intersections or dismounting but it didn't happen with my previous bike and I wish there was a way to keep it from happening. Has this happened to anyone else or am I just a dumba**?
