PLS PLS SUGGEST ME SOME GOOD BOOKS THAT HAVE THIS DYNAMIC

i read leave me behind last month and rated it 2 stars. the whole book felt so disjointed. there was no chemistry between the main characters. they were good as individual people, but together it was a mess. the plot was the only good thing, and that kinda picked up from 50%. another thing i didn’t like in the book is the whole thing with jenkins. tf do you mean you left the guy you love, didn’t even fight for him, and stayed with your ex for a few months before your guy came to rescue you? also, the scene where she masturbated with eren (his brother) gave me the ick because wtf. i love dark romance, but the story made no sense.

my friend said that the dark forces duet was better. so i gave it a chance. i read your knife, my heart and gave it 2.5 stars🙂 instead of progressing, the story was basically 📉📈📉📈📉📈📉📈📉📈 like it pissed me off. the execution was trash. like the author described the characters in a way that didn’t resonate with their actions at all. cameron is said to be a psycho, but his pov’s are so disjointed from how he’s described. and emery needs to grow a backbone because wtf how can you be a so called executioner when you’re so fucking naive?? the only thing i liked about the book was the last chapter, where she lost her memory, and that wasn’t even two pages. i have half a mind to dnf the duet, but im also curious what happens and am wondering if the story picks up in book 2. because if not, i have no desire to waste my time on her books anymore.

i’ve had mixed opinions on this one. and idk what to believe. it’s supposedly a greek mafia romance and i was intrigued at first because that’s something new. but idk what to do now. i need some reviews without major spoilers. booktok is treating this book well, but that’s exactly what im afraid of LOL

i’m about to start “i’d rather die” and also added bought & paid for and if i can’t have you to tbr. i just wanna know if these stories are completed, cause im new to A03, and can’t see anywhere where it’s stated that it’s incomplete or completed.

from what i know, both authors have written/write mainly military romances. and i want to who is better. im currently reading leave me behind by moronova and im not pleased, i have half a mind of dnfing it. but im continuing cause im curious about what exactly happened in patagonia and who killed jenkins and who killed abrahm etc etc. the mmc and fmc has no chemistry at all. like she has more chemistry with her dead partner AND the mmc’s brother (wtf was chap 18 i wasn’t told its a love triangle or has a sharing trope or that she fools around with his BROTHER when clearly he’s not the main love interest. it gave me the ick)

i have not read any lexie axelson books yet. and i’m starting to think military romance isn’t for me. unless lexie’s books are better and can change my mind?? lmk!!

i’ve seen many posts on this sub about deathsdoll and i assume she writes on ao3? well, i haven’t read anything by her, but i did add if i can’t have you on my tbr and i wanted to know if it’s really lives up to the hype. secondly, does deathsdoll have a social media?

bonus points if the fmc is a brat and the mmc is the professor who tames her.

okay so, i’ve been having MAJOR fomo over not reading the books yet when the show came out. and i wanna watch the show but i wanna read the books first. mind you, im not gonna read all the books, only - the deal, the mistake, the score & the legacy. i had read the goal sometime back so i’m not gonna read that. if you wanna join me, let’s read together!!!

this is gonna be like a rant. and to start off, let me just say I just finished the caraval trilogy and HATED DONATELLA. ugh!!! she’s so annoying and reckless and careless and selfish it made my blood boil. scarlett cared so much about her and tella was just full of herself and only cared about dante. like “i love my sister but i have a life so im not gonna listen to a thing she says. she’ll forgive me anyways cause she loves me” like DUDE, DO YOU LOVE HER OR NOT????

i genuinely don’t understand why donatella got the whole second book, MOST of the third book and an entire novella??? i wanted more of scarlett and julian and practically, that would’ve been the right thing to do since scar was the one with real powers. and we find out about her powers in book THREE like wrap it up bro. it’s so clear that the author favoured tella more than scarlett and it was pissing me off. tella is a very complex, different character, i agree. but so is scarlett!! i relate to her soo much! i needed more of her.

that being said, legend is EQUALLY SELFISH AND SELF CENTERED. he was playing with tella for most of 3 books and their conclusion wasn’t even THAT satisfying. dante is one of the characters i like because he’s really complex + i have a thing for antagonists. but the way he treated tella and somehow became most of the story told by the protagonist (tella) just pissed me off.

my house is pretty small, and i don’t have a bookshelf. tog has been on my tbr for a long time now, but i don’t want to buy all the paperbacks. without any spoilers, can you tell me which are the best, highly rated books in the series? i’m only going to buy those paperbacks and read the rest on KU
