Broke asf rn get paid tomorrow but have a little bottle of everclear and a little bit of lemon burnetts left so thinkin abt mixing everclear either with water or the burnetts or both. Anyone tried something like this? Good/bad idea?
Edit: did 25% everclear and 75% burnetts and that seems good. Definitely got a kick tho
Newbie on a budget, I’ve been doing a blend of broke boi tek for sterilization, UB with Aldi rice bags, pasteurizing my own 100% coco coir, and s2b using 6 qt unmodified shoeboxes (sometimes 12 qt). I have a small Martha tent I poked some holes into on the sides, a humidifier, and a small fan to modify conditions.
Everything goes fantastic until I introduce FAE, so I very skillfully deduced it’s probably the environment. When I s2b, I mix thoroughly, put a layer of rice, and top with a casing layer. The first flush goes fine, though the most I’ve gotten was about a half canopy. After that, overlay. Then, after hydrating, a few mushrooms every few days until that flush is over. I try to maintain surface conditions: misting when it’s dry and dabbing pools of water, turning on the fan to help stir the air.
Rehydrating pisses off the myc, literally. No matter if I do a quick dunk or an overnight soak, it excretes a lot of metabolites. So between spores and piss, the cakes can look really ugly after a while. I’ve tried using the humidifier to trigger subsequent flushes, but I think it makes the overlay worse.
As for contam, I’ve had some but it’s not been a big issue. The room is segregated, I keep it clean, and frequently spray a mix of 95% alcohol:water. The tent has a towel underneath that I change intermittently, and I close the lids and spray the inside of the tent with the alcohol solution. The only issues I’ve had are normally when a cake is spent. I’ve also had success cutting trich from a cake and getting multiple flushes out of it, though it does come back eventually. But still, only been maybe 25% of my tubs have had contam.
What’s causing the overlay and myc piss? Is there a way to improve conditions without investing in something expensive? For the record I have a drill and conical drill bit

Hi friends, I could use some help from the community. I desperately want to change my name bc my deadname is quite feminine and it’s starting to really bother me to be outed every time I go to a new doctor or pick up meds or even go buy something that requires me to show ID. But I’ve been stuck in limbo bc I can’t choose a middle name! I definitely want to bc mine current one is also pretty feminine and pretty unique (think like, a Slavic version of Katie)
My first name (chosen) starts with C and my last name starts with R, and I’d like a middle name that starts with A, H or S preferably, or B, J, or O. First name ends with an ie, so preferably none that end with ie or y. I like names like Jordan (not going with that bc I have family with that name), Owen or Wyatt. Boring white boy names. But anything recommendations are welcome, even if they’re beyond the constraints I laid out in this post

I’ve been on T for 3 ish years with about a year long break in the middle, and I always got it at my university’s student pharmacy. Well I graduated and finally needed some at the new place I moved to. And yeah I mean basically the title—for the first time ever when picking it up I was asked about pregnancy and for an ID.
I could get the ID thing on its own (still invasive imo but what can you do) but the pregnancy question just felt invasive for no reason. From what I could find out online, it seems like it might be store policy for some locations, but still. Like, even if it were applicable, that is 100% between me and my prescriber, not the business of a random pharmacist. And then to have both happen back to back was just like two slaps in the face. Really makes me dread going back. At least it’s enough for a couple months
