Is silver clay good for rigid geometric patterns/shapes?

Absolute novice here in jewelry making but I do have a lot of experience in hand building ceramic pieces, I figure using silver clay to make a ring with sharp angles and straight lines carved into the outside wouldn’t be too difficult with the tools I have.

Do corners and straight edges hold up well after torching silver clay? I notice a lot of silver clay jewelry is more amorphous/organic, and I’m worried any detail I add to a piece will melt slightly and throw off the whole vibe of it.

Also, any advice for making a ring? How big should a ring be in order for it to shrink to the correct size after torching? 2 sizes up? 3? Thanks again for the help

Too late to enroll in classes?

Tried to get into a math 181 class and was waitlisted. Got to #1 on the list but nobody else dropped so now it’s too late. Does CSN really not allow late enrollments? Spoke to an academic advisor and she said that for math and science classes there’s no exceptions, sometimes other departments will allow it.

so if somebody drops the course I still can’t enroll? sounds like CSN doesn’t like money. somebody’s bound to have been absent for the first week. This is the last class I need to graduate!

So. .. now what?

Reached lucky forever friends with someone I was mutual with on social media ages ago, I’ve since then deleted that account and it was my only way to get in touch with them. They also changed their social media handle. now we have our remote trade and they have nothing in their remote tag. Any idea how I can get in touch with them???
