To me this is the most relatably trans line of dialogue in this chapter. It perfectly echoes a closeted trans girl who knows what she wants, knows what would make her happy, but also knows that if she takes that step, if she breaks the rules, her whole life and all her relationships could collapse, and it terrifies her.
(I'm not specifically saying it's evidence, just that it gave me a really big hoo boy moment, that I knew exactly how Ralsei was feeling.)
My wife just got a new job that she will need a car to get to, and we haven't had a car while living in Chicago before (been here 3 years, sold our car when we moved here). Her dad in Iowa offered to let her borrow one of his trucks for a few months (probably August to November-ish) so she can save up for a bigger down payment on her own car. I know we should get her added to the insurance on the truck, and the registration and everything would still be in her dad's name, but since she's a Chicago resident, would she need to get a city sticker for it? Anything else we should consider or be aware of?
Her human ones, not her Model A ones.
