What enemies would be in a “Realistic” Pale Ones Run?

Before I ask anything, I love this game and its lore so much that I’ve decided to make a funny video, but I wanted to do something kinda different. I’m not that good, so playing a super maxed out difficulty might be fun, but I wanted also to pick out enemies that would realistically be at the “beginning” or during the Dark Ages. I got the Maharaja, Dryads, Cloud Lord, and Warlocks for thematic purposes (they show up start using gems and getting everyone all riled up).
I was thinking Barbar would be a good “not anyone’s friend” faction that honestly could show up at any time. Also maybe teaming up certain groups and being the only faction that just wants everything to go back to bed would be cool. Could even add in demonologies for messing with the portal that gets mentioned in Pale One lore. I would love to make all kinds of vids of “canon” battles since I always thought that there is enough cool and interesting stuff that you could make you’re own storylines with all kinds of conflicting timelines and it would still work! I’m a writer so I can’t help but be like “yeah I could do something busted, or meta, but what about the weirdos? What’s the story?” If there was a faction of just lizard people I’d have probably picked them lol.
Also from what I’ve seen the tier list is more of a “how much does it rely on rng to work” type of question, or am I just crazy? I played a lot of northgard and fighting games where the list was telling you who is even viable vs who is burdened with being actually balanced and mortal. Are the Pale Ones considered busted and I just didn’t know? They are fun but they aren’t reward-you-for-dying like necro can be (unless you get you one of the diamond using big boys).

TLDR; who would be scrapping with the Pale Ones in the dark ages considering the lore of Elysium?

My first win! What I learned and a pic.

First win I've ever gotten and it's a Pale Ones victory. I don't really know tiers or metas, but they felt like really easy to pilot. The pic is from the last battle, but I would say the easiest way to get the big fast is as soon as you get your first earth mind and first oracle of whatever, make them the ones in charge of armies and famr the heck out of emeralds and whatever that one oracle likes (each one gets a discount depending on what kind of oracle they are. Diamonds are necro, rubies are flame, saphires are Olms, who are desceptively strong, and emeralds are earth, which the low level shames use). I would save all my emeralds and designate one or two guys as the generals, but always had a couple back up commanders in case the shamen gets sniped. Gold can be easy to get, but honestly the greatest thing for this army to get ahold of are bridges, since every unit for the most part is amphibious, and rainbows, as they give you a saphire, ruby, and emerald and makes it super easy to make a super death oracle who just made some ridiculous army.

I want to get into writing for video games! Which RPG Maker is best for that?

I've always wanted to write for video games and after doing a little bit of looking around and finding what I could on my own, I was left thinking that maybe making a couple of little goofy passion project games with rpg maker would be good for expanding my writing portfolio. Also, it might give me a chance to stop writing as if I'm writing for an open world and pretending it's a novel XD. Which RPG Maker would be best for a more narative focused adventure? I also wouldn't mind making some dnd inspired games too, and have dmed for a long time, so if that tilts any opinions let me know lol.

How low should my expectations be for my first book?

I've started taking my short stories and even a novel that I am working on rewriting and aimed towards creating a self-published catalog. I've already dropped quite a few of my short-stories but is getting 100 copies sold too big of a goal? What should I expect? How can I maximize the chances of getting people to buy it? Any advice down to what the cover should look like would be awesome!

How do y'all create hype for your first self-published book?
