I made another Marielle cardigan (my first one was bright pink with mohair) with wide sleeves and a picot edge! I absolutely love it and hope it won’t change shape with blocking. I already generously steamed it so I’m hopeful. This was also my first time trying Drops yarn - this used 12 skeins of Lima which only cost me about 32€. That’s insane. My pink Marielle cost about 100€ lol 🥲 Also, enjoy my Photoshop skills with my cardigan floating ominously in the sky… it’s dark in my room and the background looked so sad :(

I made this Norwegian "selbu" style mitten (still need to make the other one lol) - pattern ist Norwegian Mittens for Mimi by Anna Mazzarella on Ravelry (free!). I have been knitting for one year now and kept putting off trying colorwork because I thought I would suck at it. I knit with deathgrip tension which I know is a no-no for stranded colorwork, I’ve seen so many posts on r/knittinghelp where people are told they need to frog their entire project because their floats were too tight and the entire project was puckering. I also previously found holding two strands of yarn at the same time overwhelming, especially since I know about color dominance and how you’re supposed to hold the yarn in a very specific way to perfect the outcome. Well I decided I would just try it anyway and not worry about color dominance, my tension felt all over the place because I was just trying to keep it as loose as possible with little regard to evenness, and I certainly did not hold the yarns correctly LOL it was truly all over the place. But somehow, it came out SO cute! I can’t believe it! I gave it a good steam and it looks so even. Yes, you can see where one color "swallows" the other sometimes because of my poor yarn management, but the pattern is so busy it’s not noticeable anyway. I’m very proud and happy to share this accomplishment with the world 🤭 The pink yarn is Lana Grossa Woolycell, the purple is Rico Design premium 4-ply sock yarn, each held double. Knit on my trusty addi Sockenwunder (mini circulars) <3

I love making these colorful fish charms! I put them on my bag but you can use them as keychains, decor or Christmas tree ornaments lol. Great stashbuster, fun to make, great for an on-the-go project or last minute gift too. Disclaimer re: the blue and green fish, that one was my first and I have since learned that that is considered inside-out in the amigurumi world (I don’t usually make amigurumi). The pattern is from a blog: art-pass blogspot com and the post is called "Rybka brelok - darmowy schemat“. If you scroll down, there’s an English translation (which I used because I don’t speak Polish and it’s very easy to understand, no errors).

I made this miu miu dupe a little over a year ago and it’s still going strong even though I regularly carry about a million lbs in it (slide 3). I’m going into the office today in this obnoxiously loud outfit (peep the striped maxi dress in slide 2) because I’m eccentric and it’s summer! And making another fish in purple and green because why not! Have fun everybody 🐚☀️🐠🩵🐬🌊🐡🪼 (also I love beige and will not accept sad beige slander)

(The scar is from a hemangioma I had as a teenager and isn’t as obvious IRL) Obviously the lighting is quite different and my skin is also better now which adds to the effect but I just wanted to share a positive experience. I was never happy with my lips, they are thin with no defined border and basically the same color as my skin. I used to wear lipstick all the time and felt extremely insecure without it. I thought about getting my lips tattooed on and off for about a decade before pulling the trigger. I’d never had any sort of cosmetic enhancement before and was very nervous to go through with it, but I found a skilled artist and love my result now that it’s fully healed. It’s a little patchy up close but that doesn’t bother me, I could book a touch up session but don’t feel the need to. It looks extremely natural in person, anytime I mention it to someone they are very surprised it’s a tattoo and not just my natural shade. Even my mother (who is very critical of "enhancements" of any kind) couldn’t tell and admitted it looked great when I told her about it.

I wanted to make a bear sweater for my friend‘s son‘s 2nd birthday but I’ve never done colorwork so it couldn’t be too complicated. I found a great, simple bear design but the pattern (Bjornegenser by Sandnes) was only available to purchase as part of a kit (with yarn). So I made my own bear ear chart on Stitchfiddle and freestyled the face with duplicate stitch. Still haven’t tried colorwork lol but I had never tried duplicate stitch before either so I did learn something new! The brown and blue yarn is Cool Wool Big from Lana Grossa and the cream is vintage Wolle Rödel yarn from my mom‘s stash from the 80‘s!

I made the Marielle cardigan by Maria Schei Mogenstad in this beautiful pink yarn combination: Ferner Wolle Vielseitige in V46 (sock yarn) and Lana Grossa silkhair in 162. The pattern for the cardigan has you decrease for the sleeves but I liked the look of the wide sleeves from the blouse version so I did 8 pattern repeats around (96 stitches) from start to finish. Love it! This is a size 3 and it’s a bit of an oversized fit on me. I have a skinny torso so I prefer fitted sweaters but decided to make this anyway because I just wanted to so bad lol. I knew going into this that there wouldn’t be any waist shaping so just something I decided to accept.
