2015 VW Polo (Japanese Import) - Composition Colour MIB2: Can App-Connect/Android Auto be software unlocked, or do I need a hardware swap?

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2015 VW Polo (Japanese Import) here in Ireland, and I’m trying to figure out my best options for getting Android Auto running on the dashboard for Google Maps, Waze, and Spotify. My phone is a Google Pixel 10, and I'm based in Dublin. I’ve seen a lot of videos online about DIY patching MIB2 units via an SD card to activate App-Connect, but my unit seems to be a highly specific regional variant and I'm getting conflicting information on whether it's possible. Here are my exact system specs (from the Service Menu): Head Unit: Composition Colour layout (6 physical buttons: RADIO, MEDIA, PHONE on the left; MUTE, SETUP, SOUND on the right). Part Number: 3Q0035877. Software Version: H21.50.69_STD2Plus_RoA. Installed SW MU Version: 0132. Installed Software train Version: Displays as blank dashes (----). Current Features: I can see a MirrorLink icon in the menus, but no active links for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. My Questions: Since my Software Train is blank and it's a _RoA (Rest of Asia/Japan) region unit, is there any actual SD card patch framework that works on this firmware architecture to force Android Auto to wake up? Or does this layout completely lack the physical hardware requirement? If a software patch is impossible due to the regional firmware/hardware limitations, is an RCD330 or RCD360 hardware swap the most seamless, plug-and-play way forward to replace this specific unit? Are there any specialized car coders or retrofitters in the Dublin/Leinster area who deal with Japanese import conversions that you would recommend? Appreciate any insights from the VW audio experts here!

I’m looking for advice from people who have successfully grown their savings and investments over time.

I currently have €10K in savings and I want to build a realistic plan to reach €100K through smart investing and consistent monthly contributions.

I’d love to hear:

  • What investment strategy worked for you?
  • How much were you investing monthly?
  • Did you focus on ETFs, stocks, real estate, side businesses, or something else?
  • What would you do differently if starting again with €10K?

Any advice, resources, books, or personal experiences would be hugely appreciated.
