Identification please

Hello all 🦋

I was super captivated by this butterfly who came through my backyard just a bit ago. I am in northernt Utah! Cannot find a match online through basic search and was curious if any one could tell me what type of butterfly this is? The body was spotted as well. Thanks in advance

Cuties at the UFBH Rescue event today!

So many beautiful rescues of all ages in need of homes! Thought I’d share these cuties in hopes of inspiring more people to consider rescue or even support basset rescues in ways you are able

Edit: as requested in comments this is the Utah Friends of Basset Hounds rescue ♥️🐶

Are my dog and I ready to bring home a new puppy?

We lost his litter mate in April and have both really been hit by it. While we have been finding more consistency and joy I still feel a draw to open my heart to another rescue basset? I mostly want to know if my Giraffe is ready? Pictured below is Giraffe, the rescue pup I met today that called to me, and our pack mate Hippo who passed. Thank you all in advance

It’s been nearly 3 months and I feel like I failed my baby

This is my beautiful boy, Hippo. I lost him April 12th at far too young of an age. I just want to know he is okay and I want him to know I’m sorry I didn’t see it happening and that I would have stopped the treatment if I would have known. I hope he knows I only had to travel and be gone before I knew what was happening to provide for us. Tell him thank you for saving my life. I worry so much that I failed him. I’ve never felt such a bond to a soul. He was a gift from the universe that truly saved my life, my shadow, so gentle and loving. He loved children so deeply. For two weeks after I felt his presence but it started to fade from there. Was he able to pass fully when that happened? Is he with any of my specific loved ones? How do I support his litter mate and brother who is grieving better? Is there any way he wants me to honor him or not? Particularly relating to his ashes? Anything he wants me to hear about what is happening in my world or with the people I’m surrounded by?? Thank you any one in advance that feels called to this post.
