I made a mount farming addon for me, releasing it for you guys too. It creates a world tour optimized journey using all teleports/toys/taxis to guide you to farm the mounts you're missing

The addon is called Master Mounts World Tour. It has easy options for the easiest mounts for you to get, and a planner that lets you add the mounts you want / all mounts you're missing.

Additionally, it has a weighting feature which will adjust your optimized trip based on your preference (e.g. want to mainly run dungeons? It's got you covered).

I used both Claude Code and Codex, as well as my own coding, to develop this addon.

From the addon page description:
Master Mounts - World Tour is the smart companion for mount collectors. Discover your best farming opportunities, generate optimized world tours, track collection progress, and spend more time earning mounts instead of figuring out where to go next.

What should I go get next, and what's the fastest way there?

Master Mounts reads your collection, works out which mounts are genuinely reachable right now on this character, and builds a route worth actually following - grouping nearby objectives and pricing every portal, zeppelin, ship, flight path and teleport item you own to find the quickest path between them.

No alt-tabbing to a guide. No list of 300 mounts sorted alphabetically.

Routes, not lists

- Multi-modal travel across every expansion. It knows your Hearthstone, your Cloak of Coordination, and which portal hub actually saves time - and it prices them against flying rather than assuming.
- Fits the time you have. Tell it you've got 45 minutes and it builds a plan that fits in 45 minutes, instead of one you'll abandon.
- Groups what shares a stop. Five Island Expedition mounts are one visit, not five.
- Knows what you can't do. Faction, class, profession, reputation and lockout gates are all checked. It won't send you to a vendor your character can't buy from, or a rare that isn't up this week.

It knows what a stop actually costs in time

Most planners treat "go do this" as one number. This one asks what's left:

- A reputation mount two-thirds of the way to exalted costs the remaining third - not the whole grind.
- A paragon cache you've already earned costs five minutes, because you just have to go open it.
- A PvP season reward is priced as the matches you still need to win, at your own win rate - because only wins fill the bar.
- Urgency is a clock, not a flag. A daily whose window closes tonight outranks a weekly you still have four days for.
- It learns your pace. It times how long you take to clear an instance and averages it - per character.

Warband-aware

Reputation, currency and professions are tracked across all your characters. When a mount is gated on something another character is closer to, it says so - and for crafted mounts it names the trade and the rank, so "Blacksmithing 300" doesn't read as satisfied by an apprentice.

Rare alerts

Reads the WoWs vignette data, so you hear about a rare while you can still get there - with the model, the drop chance, the distance and a target button. Its own arrow, so it never hijacks the route you're on. Rares whose mounts you already have stay quiet.

Please provide any feedback/bugs/etc

I built a mount farming add-on for me, if you guys like it thats cool too

Every mount addon I tried was a checklist. Great — 300 missing. Now what?

That's the part I actually wanted help with. You've got an hour before bed, you know the number, and the addon has no opinion about which of those 300 is worth doing tonight. So you sit there working it out yourself, again.

So I built the thing I wanted. Master Mounts – World Tour. I made it for me. If it's useful to you, great. If it's not your thing, that's fine too — though if you tell me what's missing, I'll probably add it.

What it does: It builds a route, not a list.

- Catalogues 1,608 mounts with source, drop rate, lockout and prerequisites

- Orders them by travel time and effort using your teleports, hearthstones and portals — it knows a Hearthstone to Valdrakken beats a 3,500-yard flight

- Groups mounts that share a stop. Five Island Expedition mounts are one run. A rep grind gets priced like the multi-week thing it is

- Tell it "I have 45 minutes" and you get a plan that fits in 45 minutes

- Tracks attempts account-wide, and never implies a pity timer, because there isn't one

- Learns how long you take to clear a dungeon and uses your number instead of a guess

- Nav arrow, minimap pins, TomTom and MountsRarity support

Rares

It knows which rares drop mounts you're still missing, and it reads the game's own vignettes — so you hear about one while you can still get there, instead of after you've flown past. You get the model, what it drops, the distance, and a target button. Rares whose mounts you already have stay quiet.

On the data

Some of it genuinely can't be known: drop rates nobody has observed, prices only readable standing at the vendor. Those get costed pessimistically, so an unknown can never outrank real work. /mm contribute exports the gaps a player standing in the right place could actually answer — and imports someone else's back.

Free, no paywall, retail 12.0.7.

The FERS calculator thread from last week sent me down a rabbit hole. Here's what came out.

A calculator posted here recently sent me down a rabbit hole. It was good — genuinely — but was a wall of text, didnt work in mobile and when I ran my own numbers I kept hitting the same wall every fed tool has: if you have military service, you get a text box. Type your pension in, good luck. The military-federal overlap is where the six-figure decisions live — the buyback, CRDP, tax-free VA stacked against a FERS annuity, SBP versus the survivor election — and nothing modeled it. So I built it: i6dev.com/retire

What makes it different is that it prices decisions, not just projections. After the projection, there's a "What if?" section that answers the arguments people actually have:

- Buy back your military time? Net monthly effect with the waiver math, the estimated deposit, and the break-even age.

- When to go? Set a goal income and it walks every retirement age 40–70, finds the first one that covers the goal in every year of your plan (gap years before SS included), and tells you where one more year of work stops paying.

- One of you dies first? Both directions — what the survivor keeps with SBP/DIC and your FERS election, and the widow's tax trap when the survivor refiles single on nearly the same income.

- Leave federal service? The private salary that breaks even on everything walking away forfeits.

- Spend it down, claim SS later, convert to Roth in the gap, retire in another state or abroad (ranked by what your money actually spends like, cost of living included).

Everything else it models: full FERS (MRA, MRA+10, the supplement, sick leave, special provisions, disability, deferred), exact SSA claim factors, TSP with real match rules and RMDs, 2026 taxes with your state's military-pay exemption, Medicare and IRMAA, spouse/dual-fed households, and a planning horizon built from an actual life table instead of a hardcoded 90.

Inputs are only numbers you can read off documents you already have — DFAS statement, SF-50, ssa.gov, VA letter. Eight short sections, works properly on a phone.

The honest part: it's estimates, not advice, and every simplification is labeled right where it applies with the direction of its error. The math sits on 146 automated tests including checks against published OPM and SSA examples.

Privacy: no server, no signup, no ads, no tracking, nothing for sale. It runs entirely in your browser, works offline, and share links pack your numbers into the link itself — nothing ever gets uploaded. Source is public: github.com/gideonidoru/retire

If you find a case it gets wrong, tell me — here or the feedback link on the page. Real reports get fixed.

EDIT: Thanks for all the feedback! You've genuinely improved the product! I hope you guys get some good use out of it.

If you notice your numbers, or recommended retirement age, changed in the last 12 hours it's because I did a deep scrub of net vs gross. The calculator was mixing net vs gross and comparing your retirement income to your current gross when net is more reflective of your actual lifestyle and taxes change in retirement.

Happy to make any other changes.

Is Zac Snyder the best bad director or the worst good director? [Army of the Dead, Zac Snyder's Justice League]

Just re-watched army of the dead and his lens choice is an insult. Couple that with his instagram framing for JL and I have to ask

Question about Apple Weather disclosure requirements

Hello, had some challenges with a recent app. I have three locations across two screens where weather is surfaced. I added the square weather logo to two locations (once each screen) per the guidance but had some challenges getting through approval. Any advice or insights?
