Cheating

I just played in our club championship (to support and take a little pride in our club). Last year only 1 lady was in the ladies division so I signed up so she could at least beat someone haha. But there was 8 of us total this year which was better.

It was a 2 day total gross. I didn’t play very well at all. I shot 105 the first day and I had 3 balls go out of bounds. I play by the rules every round with my husband and hold myself to a standard. Going into the tournament I was most nervous about following the rules if something came up I’ve never experience before. I take the rules seriously.. I don’t understand how you can’t? Anyways yesterday as I was looking for my ball the girl in the group ahead(who legit acts like she owns the course and has golfed since she was 4) was helping me look and I said well I hit a provisional in case I went out of bounds(it was my second shot on a par 5). And she looked at me and said oh I don’t know that rule…… I was like ummm pardon?! I was shook. In her group she has golfed the longest so I know she was the one directing the rules day 1. She said she shot 87. Well today she got paired with a legit golfer and ended up shooting 103. (Both her and her dad were walking around stating she’s NEVER shot that in her life… seriously? Give me a break.

The girl 1 stroke behind me day one ended up shooting 144 today…. Another girl shot 92 day 1 and 120 today. So everyone’s magically shooting these rounds on day 1 when you can golf with friends and family and on day 2 when you are paired with senior ladies that know the rules you blow up. I was the only lady that improved my score day 2.

The 2 I golfed with also acted like they knew the rules but I had to get into it with them and say no you absolutely do not get relief from landing in a divot. No you do not get relief from being beside a tree…yes it’s a stroke if you whiff the ball… like basic golf stuff. The one girl said she’s played competitive golf her entire life. Seriously?! How do you play your entire life and not know the basic rules.
The other girl legit was slashing off strokes. I called her after it happened twice and then it happened 2 more times and I was like wow. If she was in contention to win I would have absolutely called her out about it but she didn’t so I just kept quiet but annoyed. I realized I’m playing a game that I legit think only 1 other girl was playing(ended up being the club champion so that’s good). But wow… my first ever individual golf tournament and I’m sooooo frustrated. I love ladies golf and love when ladies shoot good and I always root for women but wow do I hate loosing to cheaters. I know there’s always going to be cheaters but I am so frustrated I don’t think I can put myself through that again.

Is this a bed bug?

Just found this on my daughter’s bunk bed. We are staying at a rented cabin.

On track for a record low round today and then I hit a bird with my ball

I cannot believe I killed a bird today. My last round I had tied my personal best round. I started off today feeling great and was scoring good. I was so pumped. But then on hole 15 I had my worst drive of the day hitting it along the tree line. When I hit my second shot it was low line drive and hit a bird flying really close to the ground. I felt and still feel terrible. I was thankful the bird died pretty quick but I still can’t stop thinking about it.

It feels like a bad omen. Needless to say I blew up after that and didn’t finish strong.

Is this decay?!

5 months ago my 5 year old son had two crowns put on his back teeth under anesthesia at the hospital because he was too scared to let the dentist fill the cavities. She did crowns to prevent future issues and avoid more dental work down the line. She also put sealants on his teeth she said it would protect his teeth and stop any teeth from developing more cavities and stopping any that did.

We brush his teeth twice a day and floss quite regularly as well.

I was totally shocked when I caught a glimpse into his mouth today.

Is this decay? Would his teeth rot this fast over 5
months? I feel so negligent and horrible this would happen. I brush his teeth but don’t look in his mouth at his teeth often enough obviously.
