35F, West Texas, no other medical issues except I currently feel like these are under my skin too. I think it came off of my dog originally. My house also had a sewage leak underneath it that I found 2 weeks ago which I think definitely contributed to a lot of mold/bacterial/things being in the air. I found the leak because it started smelling like yeast/bread in the house if that could be connected. Supposedly my landlord fixed it now, but the air still doesn't seem good inside the house. It could definitely be from something unrelated to that too though.
It doesn't seem to be messing up my vision, but just slightly feels like there's something in the eye. In this video there are a couple in the right corner of the eye and something on the left the of the blue part of the eye.
2nd picture is with my first dog who has unfortunately since passed away. But I couldn't leave him out as the one who started my love of crazy eared mutts :) (The puppy just showed up on my doorstep and refused to leave about 3 weeks after he passed. After being unable to find any owners for him, I decided my older dog must have sent him to me.)
I guessed the top 2 right! 🙌 And I did think there was a little bit of >!Asian influence !< in there too due to his body shape. But definitely did not even think about >!akita!< being the main part of that though (I was thinking >!Chow/Sharpei)!<. Results are on slides 9 and 10, if you wanna guess before you get to them m
Not gonna lie, I was hoping for a little more herding breeds or other dog friendly breeds in there too lol. So hopefully the bit of >!GSD and miscellaneous herding breeds!< will come through there as he grows up. He's doing really well with my other 2 dogs right now and he's got 2 good examples in them. & As soon as he gets his second set of shots, I can start socializing him outside the home too. He does seem to have a little bit of a protective instinct towards protecting the home, which I'm happy about. (I know this isn't always a popular opinion on Reddit, but I live by myself in a somewhat rural, somewhat sketchy area. And my older dog who passed away recently was my protector until now, my other 2 don't quite have the right instinct for it.)
My older dog Paco, who was my 100% my buddy through some of the hardest times of my life, passed away about a month ago. I wasn't sure I was ready to get another dog yet, but I'd just started thinking about how it might be good for me and my younger 2 dogs to get back to having a trio. Then this little guy showed up by my house and just refused to leave. I gave him water, but waited awhile to feed him so he'd get hungry and go back home but he just didn't leave and it's so hot out right now and he's so young still, so I ended up bringing him in the next afternoon. Had him checked for a microchip and posted him on all my city's sites, but no luck so I assume he was probably dumped (which is unfortunately common in my area). I named him Cowboy and he's fit right in with my other dogs already. I like to think Paco sent him to us because he knew we would need him. And cuz Cowboy needed us too tbh, he was covered in fleas at first and tested positive for 3 tick diseases at his first vet appointment yesterday 😭. Luckily he's not showing any symptoms yet so he just has to take antibiotics for a month to treat them.
Any guesses? I just sent in his Wisdom Panel. He's 28lbs and the vet thinks he's 5-6 months old. He's gained 4lbs already in the week that I've had him, so he may have a little catching up to do on his growing. I'm guess shepherd, pit, Aussie and maybe ACD (cuz they're in everything in my area).
Update: He may be a little younger than the vet thought because one of his front teeth (incisors) just fell out yesterday and Google informed me that starts to happen at 3-4 months. That tooth looked the same as his other front teeth so I would guess it was the first one to fall out. (I'm so curious how big is he going to get now with this and the mastiff and pyr comments! Def time to get to training now while he's still small just in case)
Pit-shepherd? Maybe some ACD or husky? He's 24lbs and seems pretty young, he has his baby teeth still.
I'm debating keeping him if I can't find his owner. It's the shepherd part that kinda concerns me tbh, if anyone has any input on that. (If it helps, my other 2 in the last pic with him are pit-heeler and pit-mini Aussie mostly, according to the DNA tests I did on them).
