Hello!!

My husband (31M) and I (29F) have had a somewhat strained relationship for years with his brother (33M) and brother’s fiancée (27F). Nothing dramatic enough to fully confront, but a lot of smaller passive aggressive things over time that have made us feel unwelcome or disliked. For example, acting strangely around our engagement, showing up late to important events, skipping pre-wedding events entirely, making little comments/jokes at our expense, etc. Even other family members have noticed the tension.
What makes it especially confusing for me is that I genuinely have tried really hard to have a good relationship with them, especially her. I’ve always been kind, included them, invited them to things, bought thoughtful gifts, checked in, etc. I’m definitely not perfect, but I can honestly say I’ve never intentionally been rude or exclusionary toward either of them. It just feels like every major milestone in our lives (engagement, wedding, house, etc.) somehow creates distance or tension again no matter how hard I try to keep things positive.
At our wedding, the brother was actually in the wedding party. Neither he nor his fiancée gave us a card or gift. I know nobody is technically obligated to give gifts, and we tried not to dwell on it, but considering the relationship and everything leading up to the wedding, it honestly hurt our feelings a bit.
Now they recently got married privately and are having a larger reception this summer. We genuinely don’t know what the appropriate thing to do is. Part of us wants to just do the polite/generous thing and move on, while another part feels uncomfortable putting thought and money into people who didn’t really show up for us emotionally.
Would you still give a normal wedding gift in this situation? If so, would you scale it back at all?
TLDR: Husband’s brother and fiancée have had years of passive aggressive behavior toward us and didn’t give a card or gift for our wedding despite him being in the wedding party. Now they’re having a reception for their own wedding and we don’t know what’s appropriate gift-wise.
I’m freaking out. My baby (2 yo old male) does have confirmed calicivirus (has not had a flare since his first one as a kitten, and he does have asthma which we treat with an inhaler. This was the email we got about his bloodwork.
We received the results for Whiskey's lab work and just about everything came back normal. One of his white blood cells, called the neutrophil, was mildly decreased with the rest of his white blood cells still within normal range. We can sometimes see fluctuations in neutrophils in healthy cats that are otherwise doing well at home; other possible causes can including an underlying inflammatory or infectious disease process. With Whiskey doing well at home currently, I would recommend monitoring him for changes in energy, appetite, urinary or bowel movements, and rechecking his white blood cell count in 2-3 months to look for changes.
Hello! I am going to be visiting Yosemite in about a week and a half. Wanted opinions on our itinerary. For context I am 16 weeks pregnant so we are keeping the hikes not too crazy. Thanks!
