I'm out

I got my 7w (7+0) scan today, and the development was very far behind (the nurse didn't say how much, but to me it looked like 6w max, maybe even 5 looking at you all's pictures). No heartbeat. I will have to go back in a week for another scan with a doctor (probably to understand how to move forward, since I had no bleeding).

Best of luck to all of you here. We know that the chances are only 70-80% from a positive pregnancy test to a baby, but it was still heartbreaking. Keep positive and I wish all a happy, healthy pregnancy!!

Update: it was not the trigger shot. Progression 11 DPO to 17 DPO

A few days ago I published this post. I am out of tests now, so I'll stop testing and just wait for the scan on the 20th of August. I'm so happy!

Second IUI, trigger still possible?

The bottom one is darker than the both tests, in my opinion, that I took testing out the trigger shot on 7DPO and 9DPO. Could it be daily variation of the remaining trigger shot I took 13 days ago? Did anyone with similar tests ended up being not pregnant?

TTC since March 2025, this is our second IUI.

Second IUI - 16th July twins?

I am going in for my second IUI tomorrow morning. I'm feeling really nervous and not as hopeful as I did for the first one. My endometrium didn't look as nice (the doctor didn't mention trilaminar, but she was not very talkative - and I forgot to ask the thickness). On the other hand, I had 2 follicles this time, while last month I had only 1. The size was 16mm for both (last month it was 20mm), but then I took an extra dose of gonal f so I think they reached a nice size by now. I'm 34, unexplained infertility, 15 months TTC including the first IUI and a cancelled cycle.

Any IUI twins? :) good luck to all of us! Let me know your experiences :)

June 17th IUIs - how are you doing?

It's 10 DPIUI today for all of us, and 10DPO for most.

How are you all doing in the TWW? Did you test out your trigger shot, and if so, any positive tests yet?

I might have seen a very very faint line this morning but I am absolutely not sure. Probably nothing. It was my first IUI, 34F, unexplained infertility for 1 year.

Does this look like fungal acne?

I have had these inflamed and itchy spots on my cheeks for years. They improve, sometimes, but never go away. After finding this subreddit, I am now trying to use Head and Shoulders shampoo and only FA safe products. What do you think, does it look like malassezia?

u/giuliapepe — 2 months ago

Is this allergic? Fungal? Itchy red spots on face.

I have had these red, itchy spots on my cheeks (and sometimes forehead) for 4 years on and off now. For a while I thought it was fungal because it seemed to go away after I tried using Head and Shoulders shampoo on my face for a few weeks (this was recommended by a pharmacist), but it's not working now. Another option is that it's allergic. I have a cat, and I am allergic to cats, even though I am completely asymptomatic now (unless we count the rash).

I would be glad to hear any ideas, both for an explanation and a possible solution.

I am 34 F. I use a moisturizer morning and evening, sometimes sunscreen. I usually wash my face with water only, and I always add a cleanser in case I used sunscreen. I tried various moisturisers and other skincare products, and nothing made a sensible difference in either direction. I also tried cleansing every evening, also with no difference.

Cancelled cycle seeking encouragement and positive stories

Hey all!

Last month I started with my first cycle of IUI, which unfortunately was cancelled due to too many follicles. It was especially difficult because it was my birthday just a few days ago. I am trying again with a lower dose of Gonal f - just did my first injection!

I really hope I get my 1-2 mature follicles this time. My clinic cancels with 3+. Please tell me your success stories! For me, at this stage, success is getting to the actual IUI.

Last month I used Gonal f 75 iu from CD5 for 5 days. The echo on CD 11 showed 5 follicles, measuring (in mm): 16-15-15 to the left, and 15-14 to the right.

This time the schedule is the same but 50 iu.

34 F. Unexplained infertility, TTC for just over a year. History of PMOS (but I don't have it anymore, as all the criteria are now negative for me).

First IUI cancelled, now I am struggling during the long wait for the next attempt

Hi all,

Recently I started with the first cycle of IUI, after a year TTC with carefully timed intercourse. We are 33F and 35M with unexplained infertility.

I started Gonal-f 75 IU on CD5 for 5 days. On CD11 I had the first scan, which revealed that I over-responded: I had a total of 5 follicles measuring at least 12mm. One was 16mm and 2 were 15mm. My clinic cancels the IUI with 3+ follicles of at least 15mm, so I was out. Both my ovaries responded (I had 2 follicles on one side and 3 on the other).

Now I'm on CD21 and the wait is really difficult. I want my period to start so I can do something about it.

On top of that, I am afraid that next time I will over-respond again (the plan is to use Gonal-f 50 IU for 5 days) and that I will have to cancel the second attempt as well. I'm also turning 34 in a month, which I'm not happy about. I feel old and useless.

That's all, I don't have questions. I was hoping for some comfort :( if someone had a similar experience with Gonal-f, I would be happy to hear it.
