My husband is more “expectant” than me

It took us 15 TTC and I truly was not expecting a positive this month. My DH is excited and keeps bringing up gender, and calling him his little peanut. It’s cute but I’m still nervous since I’m only 4w2d. I kinda wanna be like bro chill but I don’t wanna kill his vibe lol. I should be more expectant of good things but it’s hard with this!!

I went and got betas done this morning to check after 48hrs (80 at 12dpo) and waiting on those results but here is my 14dpo lines for funsies

For fun: previous or current food aversions/taste changes

I was reminiscing today about how, with my first pregnancy, I developed a severe aversion to the smell of dairy that persists to this day (daughter turned two last week). I can still eat dairy if it’s mixed well in other foods (like sour cream in tacos) but for some reason, in my first trimester I just became sick at the smell or sight of dairy. To me it now smells like rotting feces and makes me gag 😂 prior to my pregnancy I was a big dairy eater (live in the Dairy State after all!). Milk is fine but sour cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc is so gross now 🤢
Makes me wonder if I’ll develop any taste changes or aversions this pregnancy, and if any of you have ever developed anything like this!

Another Loss Post… TW

This post will have graphic descriptions of loss.

Some of you might recognize me here from daily chats or posts I’ve made. My original due date was April 2nd, 2026. My partner and I started trying in August 2025, and we finally conceived in June 2026 for the first time. We were thrilled. Sadly, that pregnancy ended in a chemical. Fast forward to July, and surprise! Pregnant again. My tests seemed to be progressing well, my HCG looked good at first, but my HCG started slowing down. I had 5 draws total, by the last one at 6+1 my doubling time was 200+ hours. My doctor ordered a scan which I had done at 7+0 and to my complete shock there was a baby with a heartbeat. I was over the moon that I got to see the baby, even though realistically I knew things were looking grim. The baby’s heart rate was only 79. My doctor wanted me to come in for a repeat ultrasound in 1 week.

Welcome to today, 7+6. I started spotting this morning, started dark brown but rapidly progressed to bright red, still it was a very small amount. Never got on my pantiliner, just went wiping. When I got to the doctor, they asked me to do a urine sample which I did. Again, no blood on my pantiliner but as soon as I sat down I passed a clot with tissue attached. I knew right away that I had just passed the gestational sac. There was nothing for me to do but flush it. I told my dr what I’d seen and about 20 minutes later I had an ultrasound which confirmed - the baby was gone. She said there were still blood clots in my uterus which indicated the baby had recently been passed. She warned me that it would be like a heavy period, etc. etc. I started bleeding heavily immediately after the ultrasound.

Honestly, at that point I thought to myself “I’ve already passed the baby, the worst is over.” I was bleeding heavily on the drive home but felt fine. I got home, had lunch, was planning what to do with my evening (half price sushi night maybe) and decided to take a hot bath which I’ve sorely missed. While in the bath, I started cramping and it ramped up QUICKLY. I was groaning in pain, shifting around. I barely managed to get out of the tub and take some
ibuprofen. I sat on the toilet because I couldn’t manage to walk anywhere else. I nearly threw up from the pain. I made it to my bed where I called my dr who recommended taking two more ibuprofen and using a heating pad, which I did. The pain slowly came down to a manageable level. I was honestly completely blindsided by just how painful it would be.

Now, I’m still lying in bed, in only a little bit of pain. I’m hoping the worst of it is over. I wish I’d been warned to take meds BEFORE the intense pain took over. I hope that my story doesn’t scare anyone, but provides some insight for someone going through the same horrible thing. You’re not alone, and I am so sorry.

I'm out

I got my 7w (7+0) scan today, and the development was very far behind (the nurse didn't say how much, but to me it looked like 6w max, maybe even 5 looking at you all's pictures). No heartbeat. I will have to go back in a week for another scan with a doctor (probably to understand how to move forward, since I had no bleeding).

Best of luck to all of you here. We know that the chances are only 70-80% from a positive pregnancy test to a baby, but it was still heartbreaking. Keep positive and I wish all a happy, healthy pregnancy!!

Progesterone

Hi guys, I recently found out i’m pregnant at the beginning of this month! Today I am currently 5weeks 5days. This last year I have had 3 MC back to back, so to find out i’m pregnant only made me scared… This all being said, my doctor just prescribed me 200mg vaginal progesterone to take every evening. I just wanted to know what your guys experience was with progesterone after MC!

My levels are looking great she said, but just for a safe precaution I will be taking it.

HCG yesterday was; 10,984.1
Progesterone yesterday was; 28.0

I have another HCG draw tomorrow to see if baby doubles!

Verification Thread and Going Private

Hey fam! It's been decided that we will finally be going private on October 15th! In order to accomplish this we will need everyone to get verified prior to then. The sooner, the better. The Mods have determined that in order to be verified for our private bump group, each bumper will need to post on this thread the following for verification:

  • A photo containing a positive pregnancy test or sonogram image with a piece of paper with the date and username written on it.
  • Once you have posted this, a MOD will reply with "verified" once you have been verified within the system.

Hot tip: since we will not be private until October 15th, you might want to remove any personally identifying information if you are using the sonogram image from an ultrasound.

ETA: Verification in this method is extremely common and standard for bump groups. Reminder, we're requesting that you not have personally identifiable info in your photo (presumably a pee stick/redacted sonogram image, handwriting, and your anonymous username with "today's" date would not be personally identifying medical information and therefore not a violation of your privacy while also demonstrating that you're not AI or something else nefarious).

We've had many requests/questions about when we're going private and we wanted to address that collectively. Additionally, some bumpers have deleted their verification post on this thread after getting their verification confirmed. Anyone is very welcome to do that! We want to protect all of us (hence the going private) from internet creepers that other types of public pregnancy/postpartum/breastfeeding subs are bombarded with.

As always, if you have a question or concern, please do message us MODs. We volunteer for this because we care about all of you and keeping this a loving, supportive, fun community! 😄

Pregnant after Birth Trauma (content tw)

Hi just looking to see if anyone else is pregnant following birth trauma? I don’t know many people IRL who have been through what we’ve gone through, let alone gone on to have another pregnancy

This is my third, my birth trauma was with my second.

The very very short version is kid 2 was born after an emergency intrauterine fetal blood transfusion, via emergency c section 48 hours later. Born at 30 weeks and spent 53 days in nicu with a number of complications including brain bleed and damage. Thankfully he’s a happy and healthy 2.5 year old now.

But my due date is his 3rd birthday… aka one of the most traumatic days of my life.

MEGATHREAD: Ultrasounds

Mods here! It's been requested and also a topic of discussion within the Mods to centralize a megathread for ultrasound posts. While we love seeing your little blueberries, apple seeds, and tadpoles, we think it best to have a collective space to show them off 😄! Going forward, standalone US posts will be deleted and requested to post in this thread.

Just a reminder, we are NOT a private group yet. Our going-private-date has been decided for October 15th. Please remove any personally identifying info from your sonogram photos, or wait to add until then if that was makes you feel comfy.

Bring on the sea monkeys!

📌 Please Read: Daily Chats, Stand-Alone Posts & Upcoming Threads

Hello Mamas!

As we’re in the beginning stages of this wonderful April 2027 bump group, a few quick notes:

  • Please keep general discussion in the Daily Chat threads. This is where most of our community participation happens, so you’re more likely to get responses there. This includes venting, symptom questions, questions about ultrasound timing, pregnancy concerns, and other general questions or updates. We’ll soon be adding a separate megathread specifically for sharing ultrasound photos. Additional daily and weekly threads will also be introduced once we’ve compiled the results of the community survey.
  • Stand-alone posts should be used sparingly and include an open-ended question that generates a new or unique discussion with a level of community benefit. If the question is looking for yes/no, agree/disagree, a quick answer, or commiserating ("same here"), has been posted by another member recently, or is typically talked about in the daily chats, it is not suitable for a stand-alone post. Any standalone posts that don't meet this criteria will be deleted and directed to the Daily Chat.

If you have any questions feel free to message the mods. Thank you!

Follow up scan - still very nervous

So two weeks ago we have a 5 weeks scan which showed a very small sac (only 3mm) with a yolk sac and as larger sac with a yolk sac and fetal pole. Wasn’t told much more but that it is wait and see.

Today we have been and both babies are still there but again their sacs look so different to me. Baby a (smaller baby) is measuring 7 weeks and 2 days (11mm) and baby b is measuring 4 days ahead (14mm). She said they both have good heart rates and that baby an although small has made huge progress in two weeks. I asked about the smaller sac and she brushed off saying it can be normal with didi twins as they are essentially two different pregnancies. I still can’t shake the fear of vanishing twin.

Just feeling very nervous. Looking for positive experiences of this situation please.

“Vanishing twin” ??

Officially joining the group! After a MMC in June 2025, got a healthy/ reassuring ultrasound yesterday at 7weeks, 4 days. Due April 2 with rainbow baby 🌈:,)

but I wanted to share my ultrasound because I had a “vanishing twin”. My doctor confirmed I ovulated 2 eggs and implanted both, but one sac has a healthy little bean measuring perfect with a HR of 134bpm, and the other sac was empty. She said the second one must’ve stopped developing very early and it could mess with any genetic testing if I had some done but otherwise wouldn’t be a problem. She said my body should just absorb the other sac? Has anyone else had this? I thought it was interesting!
