No one to open up to, feel so alone

I’m currently waiting to have a follow up ultrasound to likely confirm that my pregnancy is not viable. It has been a slow march to the end, and I am very aware that my pregnancy will not have a happy ending. I’m 7w4d today.

I moved out of state a few years ago to where my boyfriend’s family lives. It was the best decision, I love it here and I love his family. I am not close with my family so it was not a difficult decision to move away. I still keep in touch with friends from home, and I’m friends with some of my coworkers, but honestly I don’t have many friends of my own that aren’t my coworkers or my boyfriend’s family members. I’m quite introverted so this has not bothered me much before.

But lately, as I’m going through this miscarriage I’m feeling like I have no one to talk to or turn to. We were TTC for almost a year and did not share that journey with my boyfriend’s family, nor did we share when we conceived (were hesitant to after a chemical last cycle) so no one in real life (i.e not a long distance friend) knows other than a few coworkers, who really only know bare minimum info like I’m pregnant and it does not look optimistic. They just try to reassure me that everything will probably be fine (it won’t). It feels impossible to share with my boyfriend’s family now, and he is a very private person who probably wouldn’t want them to know anyway, and I want to respect his feelings about it as well because it is his loss too. I have no desire or intentions to tell any of my family. I don’t know anyone personally who has had a miscarriage. My few friends who do know what is happening are supportive but they don’t understand, and I know it weighs on them (multiple have expressed how concerned they are about how stressed I am, which just makes me guilty about sharing).

I have never felt so alone.

Update to Slow Rising HCG

I figured I would make an update in case anyone is looking for a similar situation in the future. This is not a happy update.

I had 4 HCG blood draws

7/21 (11 dpo) - 48

7/27 (17 dpo) - 303 (54 hr doubling time) at this point I was feeling a bit anxious but chalked it up to anxiety from my chemical last cycle

8/3 (22 dpo) - 1242 (82 hr doubling time) I was very concerned, dr said it looked fine and scheduled an ultrasound for 8/20. I ended up reaching out to my dr again with my concerns and she reaffirmed that things look good to her but she ordered another blood draw to ease my mind. I tried to have hope that maybe it was just over 72 hrs since my HCG was above 1200, but still I had a bad feeling

8/6 (25 dpo) - 1865 (122.8 hr doubling time) I haven’t heard from my dr yet but at this point this is less than a 35% rise over 48 hrs which is the lowest rise known in viable pregnancies. I am quite positive this pregnancy is not viable. Obviously I am heartbroken. I am hoping my doctor will finally see the concerns and maybe get me in for an early ultrasound or something.

I have no idea what to expect now. With my chemical it happened suddenly, but now I feel like I have to wait to lose my baby and it absolutely kills me.

Names with the same vibe as Ollivander?

Currently pregnant, don’t know the gender yet! Since I was a kid I’ve loved the name Ollivander, obviously as an adult I recognize that that’s not a name I’m willing to give my child. So I’m looking for names with similar vibes. Names I like but don’t love that sound similar: Lysander, Alexander. It doesn’t have to literally sound the same to be what I’m looking for. Thanks!

Overthinking Symptoms

Hello! I’m 19 dpo today, 4 weeks 4 days. I was testing up until yesterday and my tests were looking good, I also had a second HCG draw Monday that was fine, slightly slow rise but still in the normal range (54 hour doubling time). So far, all signs have pointed to things being okay. The problem is, I wasn’t able to test this morning and won’t be able to for the next 2-3 days because I am staying with my mom while she’s in town and I do NOT want her to know about the pregnancy yet. And suddenly… it feels like my symptoms are gone? The frequent urination, intermittent nausea, and acid reflux don’t seem to be bothering me. I am extremely tired as I have been but I slept in an unfamiliar place last night (even though I feel like I slept fairly well). My boobs also feel less sore but still slightly sore with tender nipples. I know that I am most likely overthinking this, but I’m freaking myself out! I just need someone to tell me I’m crazy hahaha. I had a chemical last month so definitely anxious

HCG rising enough?

Hi everyone! I got my HCG tested at 11 dpo and it was 48 at that time. I got it retested again yesterday at 17 dpo, and it was 303. The appropriate doubling rate would’ve been 384. Do you think I should be concerned about this doubling rate, or is it close enough that it should be okay? My home tests have been progressing well, but I won’t be able to take any more over the next 3 days at least. My test this morning showed a good jump in darkness so is it possible my HCG rise was just slightly delayed but is still okay? I had a chemical last cycle so I’m super nervous!

Struggling with anxiety after chemical

TW: chemical and current pregnancy

My partner and I have been TTC since August 2025. I have PCOS, but I ovulate fairly regularly on my own so we were hopeful despite some known issues. On June 16th, at 11 dpo, I got my first positive. We were elated. I continued testing, and though my tests weren’t getting darker, they weren’t getting lighter either so at first I wasn’t too concerned. But by 15 dpo I had messaged my dr to ask to get my HCG tested, which was a Saturday. At 16 dpo, on Father’s Day, I got a negative test. The next day I started bleeding, had a break down at work, left early and got my HCG tested which confirmed the levels were undetectable and I’d had a chemical pregnancy. We were crushed, of course. The pregnancy had lasted all of 5 days but the effect was monumental. After the grueling journey that TTC had been, I honestly was terrified to keep going. I was also terrified of giving up.

My doctor gave the go ahead to try again immediately, so we did. I didn’t think anything of it, it was routine at that point. And what do you know, as part of my routine I took a pregnancy test at 11 dpo, the day before my period just like I do every cycle, and boom. Positive. POSITIVE. I was in shock. As surprised as I had been the first time, I was exponentially more surprised the second time. And the positives were beautiful. They weren’t squinters. They were strong, for 11 dpo. I felt hope. I got my HCG tested that same day, and it came back at 48. My dr said come back in a week.

Today, it is 15 dpo. The day, last cycle, that my fears really set in. I knew something was wrong. And the feeling keeps coming back. I’ve tested every day, and there’s definitely been some progression, but I keep second guessing myself. This morning, my test seemed like it might be slightly darker than yesterday. I am not coping. I am terrified. I go back for repeat bloodwork on Monday, and I am so scared. On Wednesday through Friday of next week I will have family visiting, and I won’t be able to test. If my HCG comes back with bad news, I do not know how I will bear it. I honestly don’t know what to think. At times I feel that the tests are definitely getting darker, and I’m stressing for no reason, but then I spiral and second guess and I convince myself it’s lighter this morning. I genuinely don’t know what to do.

I guess I don’t know what I’m looking for, and I know this post is gonna be super long so I am so sorry. This is just so hard. I feel so alone, though I know I am not.

Wondfo 11-14 dpo progression

Trying to calm my fears after a chemical last month. I know my progression looks okay so far but I can’t help but be scared. Any calming words from those who have been through the same? Also I think my fears are being made worse by FRERs, which seem to be affected by my prenatal so they are showing lighter despite my strips getting darker. Anyone experienced that too?

Fullwell Affecting FRER?

Has anyone experienced their Fullwell prenatals affecting FRER results due to the biotin? Or did you get strong positive FRERs anyway? I’m wanting to track progression but after a chemical last cycle I’m terrified of my FRERs getting lighter due to that, my first FRER was a clear positive but I hadn’t taken my prenatal in a few days before I tested.

11 DPO Wondfo and FRER

This is my first cycle after a chemical, and August 1 would make 1 year of TTC. I am absolutely shocked. My lines already look darker than they did with my chemical so I’m really hoping that this is the one. I am SO excited, totally in disbelief!
