The target of the attack was Vadym Iermolaiev (and possibly his family as well)
He remains in critical condition.
Just today, someone posted a post asking what other countries could learn from Monaco and one of the things I answered with was safety.
And I still stand behind that answer. A tragedy has happened today, a tragedy which proves that no matter where on the planet you are, you can never really run away from some things. Organized crime members and similar figures don’t know borders for the right amount of money. Whether that’s Monaco, Switzerland, Dubai etc…
We have seen this today and it wasn’t the first time. Similar thing has happened with Mr. Safra in 1999.
This was not a random act of terror. It was an organised attack.
It’s a sad day, stay safe.

I’ve read a post about how Monaco should start attracting more “entrepreneurs”, for “common” people to come and succeed, sort of like a “Monegasque dream”. Like NYC, Dubai etc…
What you guys who say that don’t understand, is that Monaco is exactly the way it is ON PURPOSE. But for some reason you think you would come here and fix/change the politics and start attracting more people, jobs etc.
Monaco doesn’t want that because they know that would seriously deteriorate the quality of life here.
You don’t find Monaco as attractive/appealing, because everything is too expensive, the housing market, conditions to move here etc.
AND THAT is the very reason the people living here like it.
If Monaco tried to become like NYC or Dubai, that would be THE END of Monaco as we know it now. And that’s not gonna happen.
For you to say these things is a bit cringe, how Monaco isn’t as accessible as Dubai, YES exactly, that’s the goal.
