Last weekend did a road trip (21 hours in the car total) without screens AMA

Incoming dad flex: Took my two kids (7 and 9) to a water park about 8 hours away, my wife is on a trip with her dad so just the 3 of us. With traffic and stops we did a total of 21 hours in the car on the way there and then back a couple days later. We were able to do it without screens. I'm felling very high on my own supply.

Key recommendations:

  • they don't have phones or iPads so withdrawal was easier
  • packed a couple hours worth of their favorite music
  • we had a 60+ mins break to go to a playground mid way through each drive
  • packed plenty of (analog) toys

it can be done!

New Offers Workshop

Just got the email about the new Offers Workshop in Vegas ACQ. Pondering whether to pull the trigger or not. I've been to L1 and L2 and they were great, but we never touched on my offer, had other more pressing issues to deal with. Anyone else considering going? I'm guessing its going to be in the $5K price range like the L1 workshop

Primarias Bilingües en GDL

Hola mis estimados tapatíos(as).

Hey folks! It's been a rough year for both of us so my twin brother and I will be doing a twins-only day at the Disneyland Resort. Here are my thoughts on how to make it happen and would love any input and specially food options

Background: I do a yearly trip with my kids (6 and 9) where we usually do rides-maxxing all day and end up exhausted. With my brother I'd like to do something more relaxed and maybe take in a few shows, musical acts and specially enjoy some great food options (we usually grab a turkey leg and some takeout when we're with my kiddos).

Questions:

  1. We're only doing 1 day in May, do you recommend Disnelyand or DCA? My gut says DL but I've heard the adult food is excellent at DCA+ alcohol HELLO!

  2. What are the best musical acts you recommend? Over the years I've only seen the Dapper Dans rushing by and a piano guy at the Golden Horeshoe during nap time that absolutely KILLED it doing all the big Disney hits. I could have spent all afternoon there!

  3. What are the best musical shows going on right now? We once caught the Captain America musical at DCA but it was kind of a disaster because my young kids were bored out of their minds LOL.

  4. Anything else you'd recommend for a brother's trip and some adulting?

I’ve done L1 and L2 and would love more ongoing help and content. I already have lifetime access to ACQ AI so would be joining for the community and advice. Any members in here? What do you think? What tier are you in?
