My nose looked great 1 year after rhinoplasty, but 14 years later it looks like it is collapsing

The photos above show my natural nose, my nose one year after rhinoplasty, and my nose now, 14 years later.

My result looked great during the first year, but my nose has changed over time and seems to get worse each year. The tip now feels hard, narrow, and overly structured. My nose looks pinched, the bridge appears lower, and my profile has developed a scooped shape I never had before. It almost feels as though the structure is collapsing.

My entire nose also feels hard, stiff, and uncomfortable. My natural nose was soft and flexible, and I was able to gently squish or move it. Now my nose barely moves and feels rigid. I miss having a nose that feels natural, not only one that looks natural.

My goal is to restore my natural nose as closely as possible. I want my bridge back, a rounder and thicker tip, more width through the nose, and a softer, less defined appearance.

Has anyone experienced similar changes many years after rhinoplasty? What type of revision work did you need? I would appreciate surgeon recommendations, questions I should ask during consultations, and advice on what to avoid.

Revision Rhinoplasty HELP picking doctor

I had my first rhinoplasty with Dr. Asaria in Toronto approximately 14 years ago. I am now seriously considering revision rhinoplasty and trying to choose the right surgeon.

My main goal is to return to the appearance of my natural nose as closely as possible. Before surgery, my nose was wider and softer. I had a low radix, a small dorsal hump, a more bulbous tip, and larger, more open nostrils. My natural nose was not highly sculpted, but I feel the overall shape fit my face better.

My current nose looks much thinner, narrower, and more defined. The front appears pinched, and the tip looks sharp and overly structured. The tip also feels hard and almost ball-like. My nostrils look smaller and more closed than they did before surgery.

From the side, my bridge has a scooped or swooped appearance. I miss the stronger profile and small hump I had naturally. My tip also appears to project farther forward and sit lower than I would prefer, which makes my nose look longer.

My ideal revision would restore more width, a softer and slightly bulbous tip, a stronger bridge with a small natural hump, and larger, more open nostrils. I am not looking for a tiny, narrow, highly defined nose. I want my original nose back as much as possible, with only a slight reduction in projection.

I am currently evaluating three surgeons:

Dr. Thomas Lamperti

I like how natural many of his results look. His noses do not appear overly sculpted or artificial, which matches my goal. During my research, I also found a few concerning revision stories and poor outcomes reported on RealSelf. I understand every surgeon has negative reviews, but revision surgery carries enough risk that these reports concern me.

Dr. Mario Imola

I have not consulted with him yet, but I like several of his revision results. I would especially like to hear from patients who had difficult structural revisions with him and are at least one year post-op.

Dr. Enrico Robotti

I also like many of his natural revision results. He appears to handle complex cases and international patients regularly. I recently found an Instagram account from a patient documenting a deeply negative experience, which made me pause:

I am not treating one patient’s account as proof of what every patient experiences. I still think personal stories matter, especially when deciding on a major revision.

Has anyone here had revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Lamperti, Dr. Imola, or Dr. Robotti?

I would appreciate honest feedback about your consultation, communication, surgical plan, recovery, breathing, long-term result, and how the surgeon handled any complications. I am especially interested in patients who wanted a wider, softer, more natural nose rather than a small or sharply defined result.

Is anyone here a Classic Car Club member?

At the end of January, members got an email saying the club was being evicted from Pier 76 and they did not know where they would be relocating. Despite that, membership charges continued.

I saw they have now moved to E 55th Street, but I also noticed the hours look drastically different. It appears they are only open Monday through Saturday, and they close at 6 PM on Monday and Tuesday.

Is anyone still a member and has been to the new clubhouse? What is the setup like now? Is the club operating normally? Do they still have the same vibe, events, and benefits?

I am trying to understand what the actual plan is before making any decisions. Any real insight would help.

Are any OG Solidcore goers beyond frustrated with Solidcore booking lately?

I was told classes were impossible to get into because of Solidays. Fine. Solidays are over. So why is nothing better?

My home studio is W57th and getting a class is still a sport of its own. Getting a decent time is hard enough. Getting a class with a pro coach feels like winning the lottery.

If you have a package instead of a membership, forget it. Members get priority booking, lock in their month early, and package holders are left refreshing the app for leftovers.

If package users cannot realistically access classes, then stop selling packages like they are a real option. And if you are going to sell them, expiration dates should be long enough for people to actually use what they paid for.

My package expires May 2 and I still have classes left, not because I stopped going, because there is barely any reasonable availability.

Meanwhile I do Pilates at other studios, Tremble, SLT, Barry’s, Tone House, boxing, all with no drama. I can book the day before, the day of, or a few days out like a normal person. I do not need to map out my entire month in advance, sit on waitlists I never clear, and schedule my life around the chance of getting into a workout class.

I said during Solidays I was done. I came back anyway. Big mistake. Once this package expires, I’m out for good.

Anyone else over this nonsense?
