Spotify's "Normalize Volume" setting and custom mixed sets

I always had the volume normalization turned on in Spotify. Then I starting using the MIX feature without really remembering that I had that toggled on. Recently I toggled it off and listened to my mixed playlists and a few of the transitions were noticeably different in volume level. So, my question is, do you all use normalization or not? Because it definitely affects the transitions. Do most people use the normalization? Do I tell people to toggle on or off the normalization before they listen to my set so that it's accurate to what I intended it to sound like volume-wise? You see where this is going? Just curious to know how others deal with this issue with custom-mixes.

[Global Electronic] (01:56) Cake

This is one of the first playlists I mixed when Spotify rolled out MIX. I was listening to it today and--for one of my early ones--it's quite nice. I really like the track selections and the mixes are clean considering there were some delicate song choices. 87-114 BPM.

[Downtempo Chill 70s/80s] (05:29) "Fire Island Sleaze: Morning Music Mix"

This was a challenging playlist to mix. Many of the tracks were album versions so I had to get very creative. Starts at 96 bpm, tops out at 120, and then back down to finish it out. There are a few tracks from more recent decades, like I mixed Yaeji's Passionfruit out of Dancin' in the Key of Life. The mix into Native New Yorker out of Rod Stewart's Passion is nice. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3yhZkfYEOgef2Sn7aPGikq?si=a30c2d68f5cc433c
