How to keep the entire keyboard active while the monitor is off, but ONLY allow the mouse to wake the display?
I am looking for a way to turn off my monitor (display power off only, my PC must stay fully awake and running) so that the entire keyboard remains 100% functional in the background (multimedia keys included), but completely ignored by Windows as a wake source.
While the screen is black, I want to be able to type, use macro keys, and use multimedia shortcuts. Windows should process all these keyboard inputs normally, but the monitor must stay black. ONLY moving the mouse should wake the monitor up.
What I have already tried that did NOT work:
- Unchecking "Allow this device to wake the computer" in Device Manager for all keyboards. (This doesn't work because when the display is powered off via code, Windows wakes it up on any hardware event anyway).
- Standard AutoHotkey (v1) scripts using SendMessage, 0x112, 0xF170, 2 combined with loops. If I press a key, Windows intercepts the hardware signal at a deep level and forces the monitor back on instantly.
- Disabling keyboard wake via powercfg /devicedisablewake.
User Account Control (UAC) is already disabled on my system. I am running AutoHotkey v1.
Is there a way (via low-level Windows API, registry tweaks, or advanced AHK hooks) to make Windows completely ignore all keyboard inputs specifically and only for the monitor-wake trigger, while still letting those inputs pass through to background apps?

[JA2 1.13] CTD in Omerta right after helicopter drop-off
Hey everyone,
I'm experiencing a consistent CTD in Jagged Alliance 2 with the 1.13 mod (version 7609 mod pack). I'm playing with the AR + SDO mods.
The game crashes at the exact moment the opening cutscene ends and the mercs are dropped off by the helicopter in Omerta.
The interesting part is that the CTD doesn't happen when I launch ja2.exe. It only happens when I launch ja2+AI.exe.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
How does the scouting trait work?
The trait description says: "+10 to effective sight range with scopes on weapons." What exactly does this mean?
I tested this in-game using a weapon equipped with a 3.5x scope while the weapon was raised. However, both the mercenary with the scouting trait and the one without it could only see up to a maximum range of 38 tiles.
Shouldn't the mercenary with the scouting trait be able to see much further than a non-scout when looking through the exact same optic?
i play 7609+sdo.
[7609] city militias don't participate in battles involving adjacent mobile militias.
Just like the title says, whenever I create a mobile militia, I only get a squad of 10 troops in a single sector. They end up being a suicide squad because they can't win battles on their own. On top of that, city militias don't join the fight when a nearby mobile militia is attacked. So what's the point of using mobile militias? I'm playing on Expert difficulty.
On top of that, I feel like something is wrong with this version or mod. I'm playing AR + SDO, and the enemy pressure is nonstop. They launch multiple attacks almost every day, sometimes sending around 60 troops against a single sector. If it's a SAM site, I almost always lose it. Even after completing all the city quests, my town loyalty keeps dropping. For example, Cambria's loyalty is only in the 30s. At this point, I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to do.
