Eureka moment! Feeling happy and annoyed at the same time 😅

Happy because I finally got wireless Apple CarPlay working on my 2022 Baleno Alpha.

Furious because I just discovered this feature has been available since December 2022, and I had no idea. I've had the car serviced multiple times at Nexa since then, and not once did anyone mention that my infotainment system could be updated to enable wireless CarPlay. This really feels like something service centres should proactively check and offer during routine service.

The update itself was surprisingly straightforward.

If you're still using wired CarPlay on your 2022 Baleno (Zeta/Alpha), check your software version—you might already be eligible for the update.

I followed this Team-BHP guide:

This video also helped:

Three and a half years of plugging in my phone every time I got into the car... all because nobody at the service centre thought it was worth mentioning.

P.S. The photo is of the Head-Up Display (HUD). It's now displaying navigation directions too, thanks to the update and wireless CarPlay.

Anyone else lose confidence after an injury?

I fractured my leg back in February (not in a motorcycle accident), and after months of recovery I'm finally cleared to ride again. Physically, I'm doing well.

buy strangely I just can't get back on my Himalayan.

Before the injury, the bike never felt particularly heavy or intimidating. Now, every time I look at it or think about riding, it suddenly feels like a huge machine. I keep worrying that I'll lose my balance, won't be able to hold its weight, or somehow end up hurting my leg again.

It's frustrating because I want to ride. I miss it. But my brain seems to have developed a fear that wasn't there before.

Anyone faced something similar?

Help me choose: Green Soul Cosmos Pro vs SuperErgo The Specialist vs The Sleep Company Stylux (Budget ₹15–17k)

Hi everyone,

Need help finalising an ergonomic chair. Shortlisted:

Green Soul Cosmos Pro
SuperErgo The Specialist
The Sleep Company Stylux

My details:

Height: 5’10”
Weight: 105 kg
Work: Photo/video editing + general desk work
Some days involve 6–10+ hour sitting sessions
Desk: ErgoYou M14 height-adjustable standing desk (1200 × 600 mm)

Looking for:

Good posture support (not just soft comfort)
Strong lumbar support
Comfortable for a heavier user
Durable seat that won’t flatten quickly
Good armrests for keyboard/mouse work
Long-term reliability

Currently leaning towards Cosmos Pro because of 4D arms, seat-depth adjustment and ergonomic features, but SuperErgo’s higher weight rating and Stylux’s SmartGRID comfort are interesting too.

Which one would you pick for my use case? Looking for real long-term user feedback.
Thanks!

Best place to buy camera gear in Shenzhen? Friend visiting China, need accessories & lenses

Hey everyone,

My friend is travelling to Shenzhen, and I wanted to use the opportunity to pick up some camera gear (mainly accessories, lenses, and possibly some video gear).

I had a few questions:

  1. What are the best places/markets/stores in Shenzhen for genuine camera gear? Looking for brands like Godox, SmallRig, Ulanzi, Laowa etc.

  2. Are prices actually better compared to other countries, or is it mostly the same?

  3. Is there any Chinese online marketplace/service I can access from outside China to browse and order? Something like Taobao/JD but usable internationally?

  4. Can I order items online and have them delivered directly to my friend’s hotel in Shenzhen? He is there for 4 days.

Any tips to avoid fake products or grey-market issues?

Would really appreciate recommendations from photographers/videographers who have bought gear there.

Thanks!
