I’m offering to help any beginners who are confused or anyone who’s stuck help in inscryption. It’s completely free, not asking for anything whatsoever. If anyone wants any help, feel free to let me know! (I have 400-500 hours across all platforms and have beat the game multiple times, skullstorm included).

My gf and I have been together for almost exactly 1 year for context. Today, we’re hanging out with some of our mutual friends playing mahjong. At one point, we took a break and my gf (I’ll call her Jess) and I were sitting on a couch chilling on our phones.

She was just scrolling through social media, and I was playing the mobile version of ARK: Survival Evolved. She then told me that game looks so boring and berating me for playing it. Mind you, this is not the first instance, as she had not only mentioned it earlier in the same day, but constantly calls the things I do boring.

There are many things she does that I’m not particularly interested in, but I never insult her for liking those things. Anyways, after Jess said I was boring for playing the game, I got a bit upset and said “I literally never say anything you do is boring. Why are you calling this boring? Why do you do this all the time?”

She then said that she doesn’t care and I deserve it for treating her badly, and if I didn’t like it I could leave. I could go through the whole story of our relationship, but it would be too long for here. From my perspective, I have cut off friends, spent more money on her than I’ve ever spent on myself, sacrificed a lot of time with family and friends to spend time with her (my choices of course, but still showing her care).

Jess told me to apologize to her, and I didn’t want to continue the argument, so I did. She didn’t accept my apology, however, and continued to be cold to me. Afterwards, we starting playing mahjong again and she kept telling me to apologize. I kept apologizing (we speak a language our friends don’t understand) yet she refused to accept my apology.

I tried to provide physical contact like holding her hand or caressing her leg, which normally tend to help when she’s upset. (For context, she has a bipolar disorder). Instead, she pushed my hand away and hit my leg and pinched it relatively hard. I’m 6’5 and 300lbs+, so I can take a hit, I didn’t want her to think she was hurting me too bad. It hurt somewhat, but I think in her mindset since I’m so big it won’t hurt.

Currently, while typing this, my friends are playing (we rotate since there’s 5 of us) and I’m typing this up. Meanwhile, I’m apologizing to her through text and trying to get her to calm down, though she keeps refusing to. This will blow over, I’m sure of it, as it normally does after some time.

I just wanted to know, am I the asshole in this situation?
