Kilt for Wedding Weekend

I'm attending small wedding in Scotland of two young Americans. They've advised, "To fully embrace the Scottish spirit, we'd love for everyone to sport their tartan kilt or just plaid on Friday during our Welcome Party. For those who are renting a kilt, we encourage you to wear it for the Friday evening festivities. If you'd like, you're also more than welcome to wear your kilt again on the wedding day, though not required."

They are recommending to rent a complete kit from MacGregor and MacDuff for about $215. Wondering if there's an acceptable lower-cost option? I see in the U.S. you can rent a kit from The Tartan Store for about half that...but I'd have to pack it over and back. Thanks for any tips.

Paperless Settings Change Scam

As a holder of a couple of Chase credit cards, I just received the usual "Here's your latest Credit Summary" email and like a sucker I clicked on it to see how my score had changed.

Immediately after the obligatory login, a web page popped up "confirming" my statement settings to "Paperless." Of course, the button to "Change Settings" appeared but didn't work. So I had to go to account settings and switch back to paper statements (which, yes, I do need for various reasons...)

I know they have tried every trick in the book to force people into Paperless, but this was the most underhanded one yet. FYI.

Help with Dent in HP EliteBook Top Panel

As you can see, I whacked the top panel of my HP Elitebook x360 830 laptop and put a dent in the far left edge (where my left palm rests). It hasn't affected performance but it looks crappy on an otherwise blemish-free laptop. How involved is replacing this part (DIY) or covering with something? (A sticker would get worn away.) Thanks for any ideas.
