Started playing in 2.0 when I was 8 years old, now an adult and I’ve been saving up from my part time job since starting high school. Recently switched to an iPhone and cba to pirate it on iOS + I have a good amount of money to my name, so I figure it’s time to retire the ship. Stagnated at sub-30 for like 6 years because I didn’t find enjoy getting faster at 3x3 (/all cubes in general). Nowadays, speedcubing has gotten so much more enjoyable with all the modern NxNs and me finding a friend to cube with in person :)
Picking this hobby back up is a ticking time bomb for me and I’ll have too much stuff to focus on after a year or so. Nevertheless, I’ll always have happy memories of this brief period when the only thing that mattered was a silly cube and am so grateful for it, because it allowed me to spend time with the only person I’ve ever shared any hobby with
