[USA] Question about majoring in psychology

Im an incoming college freshmen majoring in Psych BA. I find the field of study really interesting to learn, but I'm wondering if majoring in this is a bad idea because I quite literally have no solid idea or plan on what career path I want

I took AP psych last year in highschool. Of course we covered the surface level basics of almost everything in the field of psychology, and of course I ended up finding everything fascinating, so I can't really pinpoint to one specialized area that I'd be interested in

I know people tend to become clinical psychologists, but I feel like I'd get burnt in the emotional demands of talk therapy, so that's something I'm generally trying to avoid doing as a career. (ironically, I am taking an intro to clinical psych class in college though just to see if my mind might change about this.)

So basically... TL;DR I don't have any solid career plan being in this major. What other careers are there related to psychology than being a therapist? And whats the best way would I go about exploring or learning about these variety of careers? Googling? Shadowing? Counseling?

Seeing “signs” to not fly

I have two fairly long flights back to back in two days. I’m getting extremely anxious again and I keep feeling like I’m seeing signs not to fly, especially online.

I never specifically searched up anything but for whatever reason the internet keeps showing me unfortunate freak accidents (ex: recent Oliver Tree aviation incident) or shows/media about aviation crashes or the general topic of death . it’s honestly freaking me out and I don’t know what to think of it…

Becoming a school psychologist in Hawaii?

Hi. After this summer, I'll be heading to UH Manoa for the first time as a freshman. I was interested in being a school psychologist, but I realized that UH doesn't offer a school psych program. I also tried talking to my career advisor, but might've misunderstood what she meant by that being a school psychologist isn't a thing here.

I was thinking I could still become a school psych by getting a eds after college, taking an additional program like this. Has anyone in Hawaii become a school psych? What was your career path like if you don't mind me asking? I'm at a lost

(im also aware that what i want to do as a career can change eventually, but was just wondering for my current circumstances)

Going on international flights soon. Any advice?

Pretty much in the next few days and the month of June, I'm going to be on several international flights that are mostly around 5-8 hours long. I've been pretty anxious about it overall as the days approach. Anyone have advice, tips/tricks, or reminders of sorts that help with coping with this fear of flying?

I'm terrified of the chances of something going wrong with the amount of flights I have to sit on for awhile, namely the plane crashing or dying in a plane crash. Please help!!! Honestly losing sleep over these thoughts

Just out of curiosity, like the title asks. I'm just someone interested in this as a possible career, and I'd imagine you are exposed to a lot of different kinds of pathogens and viruses which I'm sorta concerned about for my own health.

It could just be me, but if I had to do a dance on the spot that I only did once prior (not to mention perform it in front of dragons) I’d be clueless. Doesn’t matter how simple it was…

I'm graduating HS soon and I'm going into college to major in Biology. I thought I wanted to be a medical doctor, but I'm starting to doubt if it's right for me. Generally speaking I...

  1. am good at (basic) math & interested in social study subjects (I've taken AP psych & AP gov, both I enjoyed learning about a lot) . However, all subjects otherwise r fine
  2. am introverted. I could likely work with the same group of coworkers and talk to acquaintances one-on-one regularly, but I think I'd be drained having to handle frequent interaction with strangers
  3. Like routine & creativity. not necessarily 24/7 same repetitiveness but more like a school environment where there's a typical schedule & you're given the expected work to complete. However, you'd still have to use critical thinking and perhaps look around a bit to answer the questions/problems
  4. would like to help people in some way

I also live in Hawaii, so it's a VHCOL area n job market sucks (tho I suppose its like that anywhere). I just want a career that pays enough to support comfortable living (relatively stable field, w/ around 80-85k+ avg salary and ideal WLB?)

This post isn't to find all the answers for the perfect career, but it's mainly just a throw-out-there kind of thing to see if there's any careers that I might've not already heard about from friends and family I've talked to about careers here. willing to change majors too, since biology was only really something i chose for the doctor route

Tl;DR: All the bolded stuff & very last paragraph.
