I’ve been trying to grow/farm shroud adhesive but the component to make seeds for the tentacle plants (can’t remember the name) is shroud infused soil. To make this I need 3 critter carapace…. Farming these is incredibly annoying.

Then last night I was moving my farm patch and realized that I can place soil at any size for a cost of 1 soil and then dig it up and get like 20 soil back. In about 5 minutes I had over 200 shroud infused soil.

Every time I unlock a new crafting tier I already have better gear from drops… the only area this seems to be different is weapon. I used the same level 25 bow until I was 41 when I got lucky and got a level 35 or so bow that’s nominally better. I farmed chests and bosses a bit and noticed bows have a very low drop rate from both. It almost feels like they’re trolling me. lol

Luckily most of my damage comes from arrows but damn they get annoying to have to constantly make. I have 4 alchemy stations pushing out nitrates and powder constantly. I have to do a flint run every so many sessions just to keep the base arrow for explosive arrows. Even now with steel normal arrows just seem to take a lot of hits. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

SOLVED.. Not sure how it got out or where it went. My entire base is surrounded by trees and this hasn’t happened to any other animals… any idea on how to find it?

Found it… had somehow fallen into a tiny crack in the floor…

I just killed the elder and was looking for the swamps. Found it about 10 minutes later (lucky me) and was trying to find an open area to get off the boat. Went a little too far and ended up in the plains… got off my boat to try to repair it and some goblin looking guy 1 shots me. No problem… make a raft, head back down… look around for my grave. It’s nowhere to be seen. Nor is my boat and the items in it. Next thing I know a mosquito looking thing 1 shots me. Make another raft, head back… on the way a sea monster sinks my boat and kills me. At this point I’m out of wood, out of resin, and out of patience so I enable god mods and fly mode and head back. I fly around for 10-15 minutes. Grave is gone… eventually I give up and head back to base. I decided to use spawn to replace the missing items. As I’m restoring things 2 trolls raid my base, kill all my 1 star boars, and wreck half my base before I can get positioned to kill them.

Pretty frustrated at this point. Might be time for a break.
