Where to get a hot lobster roll in NYC?

I’m tired of paying $40 for chilled lobster salad on a hot dog bun. I want hot, buttery lobster in a grilled split top bun. Maybe some fries and/or coleslaw on the side. Is that too much to ask? I just want one really good one before summer is over. Thanks for your recommendations!!

Salary Differential App

Hello, I finally got my DOE email today and the first thing I did was check for the salary differential application. Frustratingly, it appears to be down right now. Is anyone else having this issue?

Shopping for a wedding guest dress

Hi all, I’m going to a wedding this summer and need a new dress. The dress code is garden party. I much prefer shopping in person to online. Is it possible to get a wedding guest dress for $100 or less in the UES? Willing to go a bit out of the neighborhood. Need a plus-size friendly store also (size 14).

Who’s got good Churrascuria recommendations? 🥩 🍗🍤🍆

Sorry for all the emojis lol, I couldn’t post this unless the title had 50 characters

Anyways, my birthday is coming up and I’ve always wanted to try a Brazilian steakhouse/churrascuria experience. Is it possible to make this happen for around $80-100 pp? Hit me with your faves. I don’t mind if they’re a little touristy, I know these spots tend to be more about the experience than the food itself. Manhattan would be ideal.

Why DOE?

I am currently teaching at a charter school with the goal of transitioning into the DOE this fall once I am certified. One question I get asked in pretty much every interview is — why DOE?

To me, the reasons are obvious, but I feel like I need a better answer than “union, pay, pension, career trajectory” and I also do not want to badmouth charters in my interviews (regardless of my personal feelings, I really try not to go too negative on any subject when I’m making a first impression).

So, do any of you have insights on a better way to answer this question?? I typically say something about the power and importance of public education but for some reason it just feels disingenuous and flat.
