Lonesome Dove | Book 55/52
I’m so glad that I took the advice of many and finally read this book.

Help article: https://mybibliotheca.org/docs/send-koreader-highlights
So after finding out Readwise requires a subscription after their trial (which good on them as they have built an awesome platform!) I wanted a way to easily send my annotations (highlights + notes) to MyBibliotheca. I’m a fan of bullet points so here they are.
- Users can now send over their annotations to their MyBibliotheca library. Your highlights and notes auto-match to the book if it’s in your library already. These are stored with the book, so you can always come back to see them.
- The plugin is available for install on your device and is very simple to setup and lightweight.
- The plugin sends a payload to MyBibliotheca which then matches the book metadata to books that are in the user’s library.
I’ve attached a few screenshots and would love feedback on ease of use. Right now, out of respect for battery life, you have to manually press sync within the application for the KOreader-enabled device to send the book’s annotations to our system.
As always, every single bit of data you enter into MyBibliotheca is yours to take if/when you leave the platform via a CSV download in your settings page.
(Yes I misspelled “note” :P)
MyBibliotheca began as an open source project two years ago (I still maintain it for those wanting to self-host.) Last month I launched a cloud platform. My top two criteria involved the ability to tap once into the app and immediately access my reading log to enter my pages/minutes. I didn’t want a social feed or book recommendations plastered all over the place. I also wanted NERDY stats to really dig into my library and reading habits.
MyBibliotheca is ad-free, there are no paid plans, and I am the only developer. You can import your books from all of the other apps, add books by scanning their ISBN, add your own books or ARCs, manage multiple TBR and reading mood tags, and so much more (I’ve yet to find a way to conveniently list the full suite of features the platform has.)
The last two years have been awesome with this app and I’m excited for this next chapter (no pun intended) for the cloud version.
Customer ordered a handmade item 2 days ago and eBay says to ship by tomorrow (which I planned on.) The buyer's note was weird as I never receive messages on how to do my job/pack items. And now this message tonight. I do around 100 sales/month on Etsy and never get stuff like this. Is this just how eBay is sometimes?
Here is my Numisvault page for my new Commodus denarius https://numisvault.com/share/coin/b7Lp
Purchased from Numismatica Barcala (second purchase from them and can’t recommend them enough! Super friendly people.)
I did overpay a bit but this coin has brought me so much joy already! I think I’ll leave it slabbed (for now.)
This isn’t meant to be a dig or anything. I just wanted to pass along that Athena Numismatics (despite giving zero indication and still showing USA shipping at checkout) is currently not shipping to the US. My money was refunded (albeit a few business days after spending over $1,500 on two coins.)
Despite waiting a few days for any indication of this (and a refund,) I understand the case. Anyway, wanted to pass this along.
Just arrived today from CGB Paris!

I purchased this coin from Vcoins (Athena Numismatics.) I’ve tried to locate the buying/selling history of it—to no avail. Interested to see its auction house history (please excuse my incorrect terminology if warranted.)
The description on the listing is

Head of Athena right, wearing round earring, plain necklace, and crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves over visor and a spiral palmette on the bowl / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left, AQE to right; all within incuse square. Kroll 8; HGC 4, 1597; SNG Copenhagen 31; SNG München 49; Dewing 1611–22; Gulbenkian 519–21. gVF.
I looked through L5’s Provenance search as well as ACS but I don’t seen any that have the banker’s mark on the obverse. This is the first time I’ve done a deep dive on a coin and I can’t afford the yearly membership for the ACS image search feature 😅
Had a positive interaction yesterday. Customer stated she loved her front and also the happy birthday message I sent. Then all of the sudden I wake up to this. Feels threatening. Should I contact support?
